The saddest thing is that Dishonored looks and plays muuuuch worse on PS3 than on PC, and on PC it's not even the GOTY.

If Journey won award for GOTY and if it is a PS3 exclusive then why would ps3 game of the year be something so different?

Why does a multi-platform game win GOTY on a specific console? This category should only be populated by exclusives,

If Dishonored is so awesome (haven't played it), make a Multi-Platform Game of the Year category.

A playstation 3 exclusive wins the game of the year, but is not even nominated for the platform's awards? It doesn't make sense to me anymore, so which does Gamespot think is better Dishonored or Journey? O_o

Dishonored is a beautiful game in every aspect of my point of view, it totally deserves this recognition.

Um how is this PS3's goty when PS3 is not the pathetic 360 that can't come up with a new franchise they rely on halo PS3 rely's on more new games so why not pick a PS3 exclusive cause most of them are better than the third party games.

totally worth it, my only complaint is that I wanted more!!

dishonored deserves this, especially since it's an original ip. it's very very rare to see a new ip succeed so much! if you think it was boring and repetitive, it's because YOU are boring and not creative. any game such as this or far cry 3 where you choose how to approach any situation is only as fun as you make it to be. they give you the tools, and you have the freedom to do as you wish! it's a great concept and i wish games used it more. if you're so retarded that you need your video game to be a linear rollercoaster ride for it to be fun, then go back to COD but know that it those games don't deserve GOTY. the innovative and new ip's should win because it promotes evolution in video games, more developers will look to be innovative themselves if they know it can succeed like Dishonored did. so stop acting like the republicans of the gaming community and get used to change...

PS3 game of the year should be a PS3 exclusive,Dishonored better than far cry 3 i don't think so.The award should go to Starhawk considering it's a PS3 exclusive.

When I think of the PlayStation exclusives that I've actually bought this year and enjoyed the most then Starhawk would easily steal this category.. Don't be fooled by my biased 'Warhawk' username and Emmett avatar.. haha.. but the game was actually damn good. Platform-specific categories should focus on titles only present on that console. There's no need for a general Game of the Year if all sub-categories vote for the same thing anyway :/

Tough call. All great titles. Dishonored certainly deserves it. Mass Effect 3 is right there though. Hell, I would have even chosen ME3 but Dishonored got it so I ain't mad bro.

max payne 3 was a candidate??? That game was sooo repetitive and had more flash then substance. Max payne 1 & 2 where done much better.

Interesting choice, but certainly not undeserved. I thought it could do a little better with its game elements (stealth vs action), but it is magically charming.

Lol, my personal PC GotY won on every platform (PS3/Xbox 360) *except* the PC, the only one I play on.

how can you have a category for best ps3 game and not even put 1 PS3 exclusive on there? I love Gamespot and I respect the content that they create but these lists just seem 'half-arsed' - the solution is simple, have 1 category for PS3 exclusives (including PSN), 1 category for 360 (including XBLA) and similarly for the Wii and then have a seperate award for best Muli-platform game. I look at this list and the 360 list and I just facepalm

you cant pick the same game for xbox and ps3, thats ridiculous, theres no point in having separate categories then, its a good game but cmon man!
