Does this game have free roam? if it doesn't it sucks in my book. Any idea on the last spidey???

What's with people saying things like, "you better be able to drive cars", or "the amazing universe is too cartoony"?!?! you wanna drive a car so buy a car game and the amazing universe is "cartoony" what do you expect? Is it just me or is the animation terrible? graphics are nice but the way he moves is really jerky (kinda hard to tell on this because the gameplay clips are so brief but check out some other vids to see what i mean) do you think they're gonna do anything about that?

This game looks pretty awesome, and I really like the look of Noir Spiderman...but I don't think I'm ever going to buy a console to play it, when I have a PC and I can play Spidermand Web of Shadows, Xmen Origins: Wolverine, and Batman Arkham Asylum...

have any of you guys seen the finished box art for SM:SD it looks like the fourth dimension is black suited spiderman but surely it will be something else unless its in the ultimate dimension or something like that...

i wonder what he fourth dimention is

Spider-Man: Passable (and Forgetable) Dimensions

I do like the premise of Boss fight orientated conclusions for each level. Pretty old-school as far as spidey games go. You know your going to throw down with that one specific bad guy at the end of each stage. That's just convinced me to add this to tracked for the time being.

i did not see a thing that inpressed me in this game, the game is not a good one that i can tell you from now. it will fail

@mike_skull - lol agreed! i had the same cynicism when i heard they guy say stuff like 'speed vision' .. i'm like "doood - iz bullet time. just say it.." . not much new here.

@jay0012k3 Maybe you should get the f**k out of videogames. Spider-man has been in the games industry for more time than I bet you have ever played. So save your crappy opinions about Spidey to yourself.

Is this even sandbox? Frankly there was much more to improve on with the previous template. What about a deeper story? They could do flashbacks to the origin story since the movies have petered out and go nonlinear. Better world? More web control? Driveable cars? Control multiple characters? Some euphoria animation? Frankly the Spidey games feel like small budget sandbox games, that just need more time and focus and ambition. This sounds a little bit shattered and linear.

I'll come back to spiderman games once they make one that lives up to today's sandbox giants (and has graphics as decent as Arkham Asylum). This doesn't seem too appealing otherwise.

In my opinion the best Spidey game I've played is Web of Shadows, though it had some flaws. Hopefully they don't make the same mistakes by making this game repetitive.

"We asked ourselves what we can do that would be different in this game that the other games haven't had in the past and 2099, Spider-Man in the future, how cool is that?" Set in the future. Bullet time. Collecting fragments of a powerful artifact. This guy and the concepts he talks about are SO BORING!! The game looks quite playable, but tey should have someone capable do the interview instead, because his babble ruined it for me.

I'm guessing the free roaming web swinging action is gone...

Oh yeh, 1 more thing, don't make this a kiddie game. Make it like Arkham Asylum, spooky and directed at teens and adults, not kids. Dammit, i am a kid, but i still like BAA.

I've got an idea. They should make this a stealth game, and when you think about it, a stealth spider man..........COOL. Just like Batman AA. Stealth made everyone respect batman and they could do this to spider man as-well. And no, i am not addicted to Batman, its just the only awesome superhero game.

DS. That makes me worried. This COULD be good, but will most likely be bad like MOST superhero games. A waste of money. I thought this about Batman AA and that was awesome in the end so lets just pray its not another 5/10 for Superhero games.

Looks awesome! @ZELDA4602 the spider man you talked about is already confirmed, he said one of the dimensions is the future where the spider man you were talking about exists; Spiderman 2099.

Hey wouldn't it be cool if the final dimension is when spiderman is in the all metal armor where he is very rich and I think he even had his own army like from the T.V. series years ago when several spidermans from different dimensions showed up.

Basically the guy dressed all the features up to sound like something new and dynamic... But in reality, they have 'slo mo', and the same tired arse mechnics for boss fights thats we've all seen before.... That you cant just beat the boss, oh no, you have to wait until there 'vunerable', which means you can only attack at certain times .... Sounds like every other Boss fight i ever heard of..

HEY wheres the chick who gave the first interview this guy talked aggressively like he wasnt convinced about his own game. from a game perspective like the comic book feel of the visuals. wll wait till it gets reviewed though

Looks like the devs learned a bit from good superhero games like X-men Origins and Arkham Asylum. This looks promising so far.

It just occured to me that the 4th dimension could possibly a WW2 setting I think Spiderman did touch on that if I remember right

It looks as if Spiderman is getting the same treatment as Batman did for Arkham Asylum. The darker, grittier kinda more adult appeal. So far so good, looks like it could be a great game.

yay...i wonder what the final universe will be ...maybe it will be ultimate universe.. just hope they dont screw it up....spiderman 2 was the best id ever played , hope this beats it though

Awesomeness. This will definitely be one of those games to look out for in Q4!
