@JangoF-76 When I said spider-man needs the arkham treatment and not this shallow looking arcade game, I wasn't saying that it needs to be exactly like AA, that as you said wouldn't work, as yes they are very different characters, what I mean is spider-man needs the same attention and insight put into creating one of his games. We need a spider-man game that is immersive, with some depth beyond learning a combo and over using it. We need to feel what its really like to be spider-man (just like AA did for batman) In essence we need a higher class of spiderman game (which i think web of shadows was leaning towards) and so I stand by my assertion that this looks like a superficial cheese factory and is unlikely to get anything more than a 6.5. I mean come on Spider-man has a wealth of history that could be used to write a novel of a game not a flyer.

i hope each suit has different moves. if each suit is the same this game will suck and be repetitive. just like all sonic games spiderman games have the potential to be better than most games that recieve a 10 rating but for some reason somebody never does the job right.

I seriously worried that they wouldn't have the symbiote costume, after seeing this I feel this game is going to get huge reviews since it's innovative and really it's like having 4 games in one.

This is looking very promising. The huge open world spider-man games were getting very stale. This might be just what the webhead ordered.

The Ultimate Deadpool is different from the main Deadpool. I hope that actually make him different. Deadpool is getting on my nerves.

Interested to see the Amazing universe, how they'll make it different from previous games and the other universes.

Why Ultimate, it already had its own game which by the way sucked because it was extremely short and easy. I was hoping for armored spidey or unlimited, even scarlett would have been bad ass. I think they should have kept 2099 the secret one because it would have people more excited and not less.

You can't measure every superhero game against Arkham Asylum. Batman and Spidey are two very different characters with very different styles. Batman was always all about stealth, whereas Spidey was always much more a jump right in kinda guy. I can't see a game like AA working for a character like Spidey, it wouldn't suit his style. Comparing Spidey to Arkham Asylum is like comparing God Of War to Assassin's Creed. Besides, although AA was great, it was a bit overrated. I had more fun playing Web Of Shadows, but I've never been that into stealth games - I guess it all depends on what you want from a superhero game...

Hmmm....the stealth gameplay for the "Noir" dimension looks like it was practically ripped right out of Arkham Asylum. I'm already skeptical about this game.....

@garrybubba I completely agree, game developers/ producers/directors will be interviewed and describe how theyve brought back gameplay to thier "roots" or what theyve done to make the gameplay fresh and exciting...or some some junk like that. this type of gameplay has been seen a thousand times over. Generic combos, and Oh! a couple of "special " super moves thrown in.....Arkham has set the bar when it comes to the Genre, and you continue to release this nonsense. ..this game is set towards the 7- 13 yr olds who are new to the genre ...6.5/10 at the most.

looks like a step back to me, too arcady, cheesy combo crap. I really loved web of shadows, that was a promising spider-man game. Spidey really needs the arkham treatment and this just looks to superficial, I'll be surpirsed if this gets anything more than a 6 out of 10.

Could've done something more original than the Venom suit, it would've done the game more mature, but I wished that they could've done Zombies or something.

I was really hoping for 2211 or Exiles to be the fourth dimension, but Ultimate (eventhough they already used ultimate for a Spider-Man game) will have to suffice.

GM-Lucra iron spider, armored spider, and scarlet spider are all the same universe they actually are all in the amazing universe and scarlet spider isn't actually the real spidey its a clone he has also called ben reilly or something like that the other two suits are just costumes. but I guess your kind of right with the iron spider costume basically having its own dimension but it could also be called the marvel civil war.

I'm OK with the ultimate universe but since they've already done a game with ultimate I was hoping for a change. I'm still going to check this game out with a rental first.

That is a terrible 4th dimension. So basically you have two Amazing Spider-mans Noir (which was brilliant) and 2099. So why didn't they go with Spider-man 1602? Pirates? COMPLETELY different dimension not just a different suit. Total missed opportunity imo. I mean don't get me wrong...I'm going to buy the game (pending it gets an 8 or above on gamespot) but I really only care about the Amazing Universe and Noir. The other two? meh.

To be honest i think this will fail hard, i don't believe they're gonna go from bad spiderman games to a good one with 4 dimensions/characters, they can't even get one right, how can they do it with 4?

Agree with most comments about the black suit - yeah it was cool, but enough already, give us something new. And this guy in the video is trying too hard to make the game sound good, he comes off a little desperate. Going on about the black suit with the tendrils like it's some amazing new thing no-one's ever seen before. Still, having said all that, if the game is at least as good as Web of Shadows I'll be happy (although hopefully it won't have the framerate issues that the second half of WOS had - that was disappointing)

it's ok, not bad of a game

Really excited for this game, but i still feel like they could have picked a different universe than ultimate. My top choices were Scarlet-Spider, Armored Spider-Man, and even Iron Suit Spider-Man until i learned it was a pre-order bonus. I also think they could have made a full game out of the Noir universe. This could have been done like Assassins Creed where they could have made a collection of four games each based on one universe, but still following the same story as this game. That way we get a full experience of each universe.

No pc version? Come on, is this some kind of joke? They are releasing the game for every platform except pc (oh, I forgot no psp too).

I think the Noir universe look the best because I don't really know much about it. It kinda looks like Arkham Asylum though.
