Kinda looks nothing like the game,

Suffers aliens colonial marines syndrome, or watch dogs hype.

Try bi-weekly, may be a sweet spot. Need to take time to edit and come up with content amidst other work I assume so weekly can become too much.

What a great list, even what remains of Edith finch looks good, and I dismiss walking simulators.

@kein259: Agree- actually just picked it up for PC and surprised reviews arent higher for it. Its basically Bioshock in space- and its very well optimized.

That picture you keep showing with the gross red eye is exactly why Prey didn't do well. Its the only picture ever shown for the game and its disgusting and why no one bought it. Prove me wrong.

@s0ldier69: if something "gross" from a survival horror game prevented to you from buying, or at least being interested, in the game then it wasn't the right game for you to begin with.

What do you propose horror centric games use for promotional art? Flowers, bunnies, and rainbows?

@s0ldier69: You've got to be kidding right? We've seen everything in the gross department by now through the decades. If a red eye is gross you should probably stick to super mario and pokemon.

@santinegrete: I don't think it was just the buggy release (not that it helped). I think ELEX's biggest problem is that it's just another PB RPG, same as the Risen games before it and the Gothic games before that. ELEX feels dated and janky from the moment it starts. : \

Loved Prey, game was a 8.5 to me. Played it on PC at Ultra settings 1080p 144fps, and ran great. Gameplay was fun, world was interesting, and even the ending gave me something to wonder. Enemies could of been more varied, but thats the only criticism i have tbh.

My Prey review on Meta;

Where do I start with this and where do I finish ?

The best thing I can say about it, it’s an ok game, wait for a big price discount if you want to play it.

1. The game course is very informative, you have endless emails and audio logs and so on to give you clues, key cards and codes, most of the time you can’t listen or read because you’re ganged on by an endless bunch of aliens that appear out of nowhere, clunky fighting mechanics.

2. You’re stuck in Talos 1 a huge space ship/shuttle that consist of numerous sections and compartments, offices, living quarters, medics and so on and you will have to travel back and forth waiting for the game to load every time you go through a gate to complete missions or unnecessary, endless line up of side missions.

3. You READ a lot, well you have to, each enemy has a strategy of attack so don’t waste valuable shotgun ammo every time you’re faced with a big guy, instead, scan enemy and read instruction to build your plan of attack and even then, select carefully your primary weapon, secondary weapon, your special power and draw enemy to a suitable environment (nice ay).

4. When in space, zero gravity, make sure you quick save often as you’re pretty much lost in vast space with no map looking for a tiny needle while ganged on big time by all sorts of aliens.

5. You find millions of cards, key cards, codes, email hints yet most doors are locked.

Play it, but you’re warned, it has its good moments but it’s an annoying game.

You can only feel a bit of my disappointment, my game of the year 2016 was dishonoured 2.…

I loved Prey, but I realise I am in the minority.

Loved the atmosphere and story(except the lacklustre ending).

The clunky combat takes getting used to. But it adds to the difficulty at the start of the game.

I actually liked Prey more than Dishonored 2.

Prey 2016 is unrelated to prey 2011, you play as a Chinese guy.

@lorddaggeroff: The big reason why Prey fell. The Blade Runner Bounty Hunter thing exchanged for Bioshock/Alien Isolation-esque romp in a science building. Not totally bad, but when the only sorta original things the game delivers are a glue gun and ability to turn into a mug it's not very groundbreaking or must-have.

The original idea had potential to be 10/10 done right (big if but still). The new idea reaches its maximum potential at 8/10. I didn't know someone can consider the game underrated though, it had some hype and was never called a 4/10 crapfest so it was in ok spot.

Problem with prey is it has Bethesda ethos inside it running entirely off a engine that's devoid of Bethesda current engine.

You cannot Invision prey as a game built around loading screens, as this game has alot of loading screens, and really bad graphics for 2017 AAA game.

If a indi made it sure it's a great game ( why because indi don't have access to what besthesda does, and I bet their kicking them selves after cancelling the blade runner style prey RPG inspired dues ex) but this game isn't.

Sadly cry engine and Bethesda engine is very much a loading relationship.

Dead space 3 did a great job from transitioning inside the ishimura and flying into space, the loads were seamless.

But the true Pioneer is star citizen that games completely transition proof.

Prey comes first yeah, such a very good game (with no microtransactions, no lootboxes...) and then so little support from the so-called single-player fans.

Another title which deserved much higher sales is Nier Automata, biggest surprise of 2017.

Gamers speak day and night about their love to single-player titles, at the end of the day sales are always poor even with high quality games like The Evil Within 2, outpaced by a bad Friday 13th.

@Subaru1980: Actually Nier did a lot better than they were expecting. And I picked up Evil Within 2 on black friday. I don't know if I'd call it "high quality."
