the distinction of Riddick from other shoooters is to execute the action of a 3rd person game in fps mode brilliantly,

mikep09 you havent played the first one obviously. guns are acquired and it is a fps. jesus, go download the dam demo

i would prefer this in third person. imo first person should only stick to shooters. this obviously isn't just a shooter.

The melee combat in this game is awesome. =)

The club is an improvised weapon actually, Was the special attack moves (which occurs after a weapon flashes apparently) in the first game? I don't remember, because I preferred to use the darkness whenever I could (eye-shine or no eye-shine) to murder enemies.

yeah... a guy could block a club with his fists.... yeah

I could never figure out what to do when your melee weapon glows. Plus I felt like the melee combat made Riddick seem weak, like he should be able to best anyone in a knife fight. Ah well, once I figure it out I'll probably get this game anyway.
