The First 3 Stages Of Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon

We got a look at the block-falling game on Nintendo Switch at PAX East.

Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games recently announced Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, which it calls a "roguelike-puzzle game." With each move Shovel Knight makes, blocks fall onto the screen. You'll have to strategically maneuver around them, as you bump into enemies to attack and step on items to pick them up. This being a roguelike, falling to an enemy or letting the screen fill with blocks will end your run, sending you back to the start of Shovel Knight's journey.

We played through three levels of this new adventure, ending in a boss battle against fan-favorite bad guy Specter Knight. You can check it out for yourself in the gameplay video above, taken from PAX East 2020. GameSpot will be covering plenty of games at this year's show, so be sure to stay tuned for more.
