@LordSho @kwanzudood Actually, I know what the Airburst is, I remember earlier on, very vaguely, using it in Socom 2. The video wasn't particularly clear either but yeah I don't mind so much. At least it's apparently crap at short range.

@kwanzudood Exactly. The air burst round is modeled after something our military ACTUALLY USES. It's not some fantasy weapon that shoots through walls. And since Support doesn't have C4 anymore... I think it's a good addition to that class.

If you're talking about air-burst rounds, the OICW grenade launcher (real life proto-type weapon) was supposed to have air-bursting grenades that have a fuze or timer on them so they explode after a predetermined time as opposed to exploding on impact. This allows the round to penetrate a wall and explode inside the room, which would kill the occupants but cause less damage to the structure. I don't see how this is "magic" to you. If it actually does this in the game with causing less damage to the structure, I can see why they wanted to include this kind of weapon with the destructibility of Frostbite 3. Just play and adapt.

@MigzBR @UKFX @halo-freak Not sure who your reply was directed at, but what I'm saying is that instead of just standard Gun vs Guns and Armour vs Armour etc, we now have a gun in the game that can shoot through walls via some magic air-burst thing, without actually aiming at the person.

Notice in the video the 2-3 shots a guy does on a building, which kills the soldier through the wall without blowing the wall through?

I don't care about being killed in shooters, even by GLs, but you can't take cover from anything if there is a gun that can almost one shot you without breaking down the cover, without having to be aimed directly on you but more or less aimed in the general direction. If people are going to defend that then they are either super fanboys or really naive to think that it isn't going to cause a wave of issues and complaints. An I wanted BF to remain BF-like, and whilst I know it isn't going to ever return to how BF1942 and BF2 were, but I don't want it eventually deteriorating into how COD did. More of a concern, but with that gun it seems like it's a crawl into that direction.

The worst part though still, by far, is Origin.

@UKFX @halo-freak this isn't CoD if you noticed. It's a completely different games so they can opt out to do whatever they want. Really excited about the scopes and being able to zero in guns. This will only force players in building up their skills as far as taking cover goes. But yeah don't hate on BF because COD doesn't have big enough maps to justify having powerful scopes and being able to change the range on your scope. And BF has never being about just guns it's about warfare get your facts right.

@UKFX @halo-freak Anything that kills the player that is you is going to cause a lot of complaints..
