The History of Sex in Gaming

I’ve never seen sex depicted in this media that wasn’t incredibly awkward and cringe. It’s just painful to see, and the writing is frequently awful. The content in the old GOW games just makes them unplayable for me. 😵‍💫

This video has absolutely NOTHING to do with any type of history of sex in gaming....this was totally about pushing a damn gay agenda on you young people. About 95% of this damn video was all about this dude attacking men for being straight and trying to shame guys for being heterosexual and playing games.

Keep your damn gay agenda to yourself! Leave these kids alone and let them figure their own lives out ON THEIR OWN. It's not YOUR damn choice. And shame on Gamespot for KNOWINGLY posting some sh*t like this.

I don't think I've ever seen a sex scene in a video game that wouldn't have been embarrassing to watch with another person. Graphics and animation have come a long way ... they have not come far enough to make two 3D models look like actual people physically interacting to any degree of intimacy.

Sex scenes in video games always look dumb.

Don't care. It's never been done right anyway. Romances are fine, though.

Personally, I am not a fan of sex in video games. We went from video games being kid-centric, to kids and teens, to straight up adult oriented EVERYTHING. I'm not cool with it. And I just turned freaking 45. Video games aren't screwing up society or anything, but there are still KIDS (yes that includes teens) playing these games. But the toothpaste is WAAAAAAY out of the tube at this point, and unless they all decide to just stop adding sex in games all together, sex in games is here to stay....in fact, it's only gonna get worse from here.

Cringe in every game except TW3, where it felt natural. Needed? Absolutely not. Invest that time into deeper combat mechanics, more bosses, unique environment, etc. In other words, do what Fromsoft does.
