Holy smokes, this game really does sound intense. A lot of multitasking to do. Personally, I think I'd wind up getting overwhelmed and panicked trying to juggle it all at once.

reminds me a bit of beneath a steal sky but of course a lot more darker story. I might play it but the graphics are horrendous for a game this day and age. There is just no excuse for why the graphics had to be this bad.

@Aaronp2k The graphics might be low in comparison, but the aesthetics perfectly fir the style of game they're trying to put across. Not every game needs to be highly detailed and realistic.

While I agree with you I REALLY REALLY wish people would stop using this strawman rhetoric of "not every game needs to..." or "don't expect everybody to this this way" ....etc

That's NOT what Aaronp2k was saying. he didn't say anything about every game, you did.

If we fix that rhetoric then maybe we will be one step closer to be able to have real and normal conversations on the internet. One straw-man and one ad hom at a time.

@PeterDuck @RedWave247 @Aaronp2k He said "a game for this day and age" which IS complaining that it doesn't look like today's games.

You'll forgive me if I'm tired of hearing people moan and complain about graphics in indie games.

I really did not like the Ludum Dare version of the game. There was just too much chance involved.

Hopefully this one rewards planning more than it does good luck.

Further proof that indie developers are our only hope for innovation in the gaming industry.

@analogjunkie24 I don't think they are the only hope, but they are certainly driving some big changes. There are still a lot of things that can be improved with big money. I have to admit I often see ideas from indie games and wish that someone with big resources would take them and make an even better "big" game, or the devs will get some major backing for a similar sequel, whatever.

On this game specifically, I am very interested to see how it's received. It's a very different take on emotion in games, at least from the recent indie games that focus on that kind of thing. It has all that violence which is often shunned in games that try to be emotional. I just hope it gets a fair chance and doesn't get dismissed due to the fact that it's not using the usual kinds of emotional stories people want to see.

Actually that got me thinking, if this was AAA with modern graphics, would it be more likely to get heavily criticized for that violence?
