Well my sis owns a DS and she likes it, but she now very much attached to Ipad and my Iphone cause she now prefer cute games like Temple Run, Road Manic, while Infinity Blade and Destroy Gunner keep me attached to my Iphones rather than the old but faithful PSP........

Hmmm, I wish there is something I really like about the PS Vita, but currently Mecha game selection are very poor, as that they go mainstream on MGS, Uncharted, which I already played or seen and felt not my type of games etc. Games like Destroy Gunner Z on Android/Iphones really made the game which utilized touchscreen fully, yet its a challenging game. I can't find Armored Core on PSP or Vita....... so sad........

Vita may not be for every one , but people who want game controls that work and in depth games instead of 5 min casual games like angry birds or infinity blade etc this device is perfect . Tablets , ipads etc don’t cut it and the touch screen controls are a joke well okay for causal games but who wants to play a first person or third person game on a touch pad ? Price will come down just like all consoles so just wait a little longer if price is an issue . There will be plenty more games to come the devices has only been out a few weeks in the west etc just be patient . It was a strong launch list of games a lot stronger then the 3DS launch games .

<< LINK REMOVED >> I wouldn't say that the controls work. I played a samle version of modnation racers road trip at best buy and I couldn't even use the menu without rubbing my fingers all over the screen, and when I pressed the buttons on the screen it almost never responded. also, the frame rate was horrible, it was like bad stop motion animation.

finally, sony fans always bring up the gimmickyness of the Wii or DS due to motion controls and the touch screen, and now the made the vita where your only option to use the menu is to touch the screen or use the REAR TOUCH PAD. if a rear touch pad isn't a gimmick then I don't know what is.

I picked up a vita and it is awesome way better than gaming on my android. Imo it is like haveing a PS3 in your hands even more so when you can remote play all the PS3 games.

There just aren't any games that I want yet on the vita that I know of. If they make a sly game, and ace combat game, a kingdom hearts game, or a final fantasy game on it, then i'll be interested!

My Vita is mega, maybe not for everyone, as craig05 points out. But when I will be at sea without my PS3/XBOX for 4 weeks out of six, I can't think of a better relaxation tool. Android and iOS games really can't do that.

I would probably only ever use the Vita while sitting at home (with a better device readily available) or when I'm with people that tend to find it obnoxious when people spend all their time on their handheld devices, so spending $400 in one go (device, overpriced sd card, game) seems a little crazy. If I had a long subway trip every day I might consider it, but as it stands the initial cost plus a 35-50 dollar price difference between games for the Vita and games for my Android phone makes the PS Vita look like a big, too thoroughly locked-down waste of money. It's really not a "hardcores" vs "normies" thing; I can appreciate the value of real controls (playing FPS games on a phone touchscreen is awful) but some people just don't spend that much time waiting for transportation or being transported by others.

I'm very impressed with the Vita and glad I bought it. I've tried playing games on my android device but without proper controls it just does not work for me, (you can't beat physical control buttons.)

I purchased a Vita today, I was highly anticipating it's launch pretty much since i first heard about it last year. I'm not disappointed or regretting my decision to jump in and be an early adopter.. at least not yet. Uncharted and WipEout 2048 are two great reasons to pick one of these up (Only games i've played so far) I don't want to see handheld gaming fade away into nothing but smartphones and tablets - so i will support dedicated handheld devices as long as there are companies willing to produce them.. Sony, Nintendo i wish you both success in the handheld market space for many years to come. Of course, i would probably be more accepting of Apple or Android devices if they came with physical buttons on them.. Xperia Play is a good start and i hope to see Apple and more Android devices do the same.

For me, we can only tell if the console is a hit if there are enough good games we can play on it; the 3DS is a hit (although I don't even have one) because there are good games like RE:R, MGS3D etc, while the Vita...I can't judge it yet because there are only a handful of games for it. I will wait a few months or even a year before guessing and/or giving my opinion about it.

I was given a Vita as a present.I must admit I never would have purchased it. Having said that I have been playing Lumines Demo non stop. I have WipeOut too, which is also good. I will prob'ly get Uncharted & FiFA. The screens so dam good it is a real pleasure to use and am I the only one that can't get over how light it is. Really easy on the hands for those long gaming sessions. Fantasic peice of kit & its been launched with a good set of titles. I think it should do well, even in these cash straped times. As long as Sony keep the content coming.

It really is way much better than it appears to be on the screenshots. It really feels very close to the next gen consoles, way much closer to ps3, than psp was to ps2.

Just picked my Vita up this morning before work. I love the size of it and I was impressed by the screen (although all I got to see was the menu). Now I'm counting down the hours until I get to try out a game. I picked up Uncharted, Marvel vs. Capcom, and Ninja Gaiden at Target. (They're doing a buy 2 get 1 free!)

how can you compare a touch screen, tilt controlled phone game with a portable gaming device complete with thumb sticks and buttons creating a TRUE gaming experience. Angry birds vs Golden abyss, i spose it depends on your taste in games, how you want to play them and where. hardcore gamers ps vita, business people travelling to work and want the "fashionable" device in american phsyco (Christian Bale) style atmosphere, carry on angry birding!!! :)

I'm getting my Vita within the next hour, can't wait. The different thing with the Vita and with this gen of handheld gaming is. That is it can pull out the stopping power close to a PS3, so I wouldn't be shocked to see a lot of PS3 games being ported to the device. I would even welcome it to be honest. Who wouldn't love to have some of their fav Ps3 games on the go?

I really want that Vita. Just have to wait for more greater games and a little price drop. It's $400 where I come from.
