Warhammer takes to the skies in Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command, a turn-based strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Its release date is set for May 20, 2020.

Based on the Games Workshop tabletop game Aeronautica Imperialis, Flight Command keeps the same rules of fighter planes, heavy bombers and dog-fighting as you face combat between greenskinned Orks and the Imperial Navy.

Doesn't look to bad to me, but I don't want to get my hopes up as the record for 40k games is rather poor. There are so many no brainer things GW can do gaming wise with more quality devs and better screening, but the license might as well be given out to the hobos out in the street.

Space Marine 2 or getting a proper dev to create a game akin to Eternal Crusade (I personally loved EC, but it was so poorly handled) would be a great start to turn the record around. Would really like to see a first person shooter based on a non-Astartes human. Something squad based maybe following the Catachans or Cadians?
