We've had time to go hands-on with Watch Dogs: Legion, which Ubisoft has described as a game where you can play as any of the people you pass on the street. But first, you'll have to recruit them.
In the video above, we showcase how to recruit someone to your cause. It's not as simple as just running up to whoever looks cool and pressing a button. To convince folks to join you, you'll need to earn their loyalty, and that usually means completing a mission for them.
Recruiting newcomers is an important part of Watch Dogs: Legion--more so when you're playing with permadeath settings that cause you to lose recruits when they die. However, even with those settings off, expanding your team is the most approachable way to succeed, as different characters have different strengths and weaknesses.
Ensuring your team is composed of several individuals of different calibers will make sure that you can handle whatever the game throws at you, whether that's a stealth mission, assassination, hacking job, or all-out gunfight. You can also tackle the same mission in different ways depending on who you have recruited.
Watch Dogs: Legion launches for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 29. The game releases for Xbox Series X|S on November 10 and PS5 on November 12.
