its not all that....

if they put in so much effort and money and whatnot ...why not apply some BRAINS and make a singleplayer campaign...??...theyv halved their consumer base by only catering to multiplayer gamers.

The Battlefront Beta gave us a small look at what the full game has to offer. Now, the Survival mode was laughable, but that's because it was on the least difficult setting and cut by 9 waves (there will be 15 - not 6 [plus an assortment of difficulties]). People talk of balancing issues with Hoth, I agree. There were. But never too many at once. I personally found the Imperials to be much more powerful than the Rebels, but Rebel victory was attainable through cooperation. The Heavy Blaster could be easily beaten out by the E-11 and vice versa. I think this was less of a CoD 5 second lifespan game - and that's making people complain because they feel it isn't fair, at times. News flash: The Empire is more powerful in the films and decisively won the battle on Hoth. I think any other arguments are only relative to different select groups.

Sorry for the wall, just adding my 2 dollars.

I am guilty of pressing the ps4 pre-order button, afterwards I learned about the 50 euro dlc. I now know where to cancel your ps4 preorder and I am moving on :)

Lets see,

1. The aerial combat sucks, I mean you can't even ROLL by yourself, how is this even acceptable? Being able to "roll" should NOT be a freaking "stunt" that is tied to a cooldown. Rogue Squadron, Tie Fighter, hell about ANY other star wars game with flying did this 100000000000x better.

2. The lack of reason to use ADS or movement. You can hip-fire and it's just as spot on as using the right mouse zoom or first person view. Doing ADS actually hinders you because it slows your movement down.

3. The terrible aiming for the At-at's/at-st's, did anyone even test these? You have only third person (why no first person for these? It was in the movies) and the crosshairs are REALLY inaccurate. Half o the time you hit faaaaaaar lower then where you think and it just feels sloppy and like they didn't even bother.

4. General lack of depth, this may be down to it being a beta and obviously having things not in the game, but it just felt very "meh" overall, I never felt like it was that skillfull of a game and it seemed to be the type of game you'd play for a month or so and get bored, like Titanfall.

I can say it in 20 seconds rather than 2 minutes: because you have nothing else to play

I guess if you want to just runaround a bit without using your brain to much shooting up some people (might as well be bots considering the spawning) after a day at the office its an ok game.

Thats pretty much the level of debt here, game looks and sounds good. Thats about it

I had a blast playing this game. I won several matches in walker assault. You have to use your fighters when the AT-ATs are weakened. Use Ion weapons too on the vehicles.

these kind of games People should Buy it after 3 Months or even 6 to get the full Game with a fair Price

don't Let those scammers fool you .. they sell you half of the game as a full game

and then they sell the other Half as a season pass ..

I can smell these Kind of bullshit from a mile away

@mohabnoto: It's not BS it is just the new business model on how they sell games these days, people buy the DLC so other companies see companies making money this way so they do it too. Games out sell movies in theatres and dvd's combined . It's a huge business , at least now days consoles can receive patches, and content sometimes free and sometimes they charge. It's not gonna change

I am a huge Star Wars fan like many of us are, but the beta and since announcements since bothered me. How the imbalances of Walker Assault made it into the open beta I have no idea, I started the game with a grin that reached one ear to the next... until it started to sink in how many issues there where. that aside when the announced a 50$ DLC pass I grew more concerned then that they may release hero skins etc. I had some wonderful moments in the maps, but I will wait for the review and see how much content is at launch

So the only thing this game has going for it is the visual and auditory presentation? That actually seems about right to me. The beta offered me some of the most pathetically shallow gameplay I have played in a long time. But at least the visuals and the audio is spot on... Except for you know, Return of the Jedi Luke traveling back in time to fight on Hoth.

So the game is pretty meh based on the majority of people, but somehow GS makes a video that is weirdly ad-like. Honestly EA can use this video to promote the game and no one would notice.

Another EA paid article-propaganda to promote a bad game. Eurogamer has a similar one called '' Battlefront is a bit swallow and that's allright''.

OK, usually I just like to check out all the vids, read some comments, go on with my day. But as a huge star wars guy it just is started to bother me reading all the CONSTANT negative comments. We get it... they changed a great classic game. Does it have some downs? YES! But the old one had quite a chunk of its own kinks. I'm actually legitimately surprised that dice has done as well as they have with this. I was really skeptical when I found out they were making it. But it is a great game! It is made for fans, and ultimately a great experience! I already know most of the naysayers I buying the game anyway, even when they say they aren't. Then after awhile of enjoying it they will say "This was repetitive and stupid, what a waste of my money." Then go back to playing it the next day.

As for all the star wars die hards... CHILL! The reason why we don't have all the Star Wars we could ever want is because... wait for it.... WE RUIN IT! We beyond criticize all of it, then wonder why nothing else like that comes our way. I'm sure this comment will get some flak but meh.

In my opinion... no game is worth the price of games now. But that is the way it is, and it sucks. None the less as a fan and gamer this will be in my collection day 1, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys star wars

Balancing and spawn points were the least of my worries about the game, and that speaks volumes because they are glaring problems.

With that said, I guess it was only a matter of time before Gamespot had to say something nice about Battlefront.

What we want is Battlefront 2 fully loaded, packed with 16 new locations, Dogfight in space with Xwings/TIE fighters and then be able to land in the Death Star hanger "and fight it out on foot aboard enemy ships" Fight as a Jedi WITHOUT picking up a token!

Seriously I don't know who these so called fans are, but I didn't care for this new money grabbing game. Playing Drop Zone and Walker Assault was too caustic for any fun. Worse even was the match making loadout screen, one game ends and we're forced to fight the same players again! EVEN worse the developers didn't bother to include a tutorial for any aspects if the game. THANKS TO RAINBOW SIX SIEGE for including THREE videos explaining how breaching is done! Now that's a game that's fun to play.

You know how to make Star Wars right? Don't make every single match completely uncanon and un-Star Wars like by giving everyone a jetpack.

How many battles between the rebels and the Galactic Empire have we seen where everybody just flies everywhere with a big ass jetpack on their back?

That's right, zero.... completely un-canonical and un-immersive in the Star Wars universe.

I really hate that they included that f̶e̶a̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ bug.

Looks and sounds like Star Wars, but doesn't have the heart and soul of a Battlefront game.

It's an okay game that looked beautiful but I personally don't think it's worth $120. Not even $60 really. So I'll be waiting for the discount or used bin.

I've got to say I loved the game. I hear lots of criticisms about limited game play, repetition etc,

But playing drope zone as rebels, claiming a pod and then huddling behing some rocks as we heard the empire advancing was just epic. I didn't notice that I couldn't have 20 types of crosshair on my hybrid scope.

The atmosphere was brilliant, the visual stunning and all the voice sound bites, commands and sound scape was very faithful to the SW legacy.

TBH I will take comments about "game play getting old quickly" from gamers with the attention span of a gnat, with a large pinch of salt. I just wanted more, and I'm looking forward to Nov 10th (EA Access) so I can jump in proper.

@jellyhillcrab: I loved it too, dropzone was a blast had some real intense shoot outs around the pod, a perfect jetpack jump with a thermal imploder over a claimed pod can change the flow of the game , and Hoth was fun but right now is pretty unbalanced , but the two maps play very different
