Why Is Bayonetta 2 So Fun?

@Azure_Nova If you think this game is simple button mashing then your playing it horribly horribly wrong. Button mashing will get you a Stone rank in this game which is the lowest rank possible.

@Azure_Nova Well, it might not be for you. I never really cared for DMC series, so was not fused when Bayonetta came out. Having played it (over and over) I honestly think it is one of the best games ever. It's a pure gaming experience in which every sound and graphical effect tells you about the timing needed to ace the combat - when you don't it's because you made a mistake, when you do you're rewarded with graphical fireworks and the sense of having genuinely mastered the laws set out by the game. That doesn't mean everyone has to like it. But it is why so many of us have been seduced. Bayonetta does what it does superbly. If Bayonetta 2 genuines surpasses the first game then a 10/10 sounds right to me.

@Azure_Nova So good graphics and gameplay. Yep, don't want that game. (sarcasm) You do the same things game after game in AC. I never hear anybody talking about the story anymore after they released AC2. Most games these days have stellar graphics, meh story and meh gameplay. This is a step above most. I personally can't play a game just because of good graphics, I value gameplay higher.

Yes, it's similar. It follows the same formula of other spectacle fighters, but what sets it apart is with its intuitive and organic combat system. It's by far the deepest combat system that exists in the genre, but it's also very accesible. Stringing moves together has never been this easy or has felt this good.

@xolivierx Not really. There is a huge emphasis on the dodge mechanic and you don't have to memorise any huge combos to deal massive damage. It all flows together in a way that NG Sigma doesn't.

Also, rocket launchers for shoes.
