Seriously??
This is the second time I get charged for Gold Even though auto renewal had been turned OFF. This time, I removed my credit card to make sure this doesn't happen again. And guess what??? I have GOLD til the 25th of January 2017 and I cannot Download The Cave. What's Going on with Microsoft? The FREEEEEEEEEEEEE Game cannot be downloaded without a credit card on file??? Give me a ***BLEEPING*** Break!! ANOTHER Reason to Hate the Xbox.

@chaosmagicka Dude- that's what the loser says because he's losing. We don't care that we're barely keeping our heads above water, Selling you our product is not about the Money. LoL- Ps4's next update makes me feel like the console is continuing to get better. Then I turn on my Xbox and see... Nothing new. Some programs still have the same bugs they did a few months back, Microsoft is using backwards compatibility as a crutch, and every time I watch tv, I see a commercial about ANOTHER new Xbox Bundle. And just a FYI- I actually wrote to Microsoft about how to improve their console's functionality and the BEST ways to improve the console appeal on a Large scale. And they FLAGGED MY Post with No Reason or Response to Why my post was deleted. I wrote them back asking why it was removed, and STILL No RESPONSE. Microsoft is HUNGRY- and I'm almost Certain they're just gonna steal my idea and implement it very late in the battle to take Full credit over My openly free suggested idea.

As someone who loves this hobby we call gaming and could care less what name is on the console they play, and I have owned consoles since the Atari. I would say......

-First off if you have a die hard genre that you play more then another go with whatever console has those games more then another. Research, research. The xb1 is JRPG poor and doesn't seem to have those games anytime soon they are also Indie poor compared to the ps4, and of course if you are looking for anything Halo the ps4 is not gonna have it.

-Do not buy a console because all of your friends bought one. IF everyone says they are gonna play this or that on xbl or psn, i would ignore that as people tend to not follow through and you as a gaming consumer should chase the game that makes you happy and not worry about others.

- If you are buying a xb1 because it has multimedia, social apps, blah blah blah- you are wasting your money. You have too many devices that do the same or do it better, buy a gaming console to play games on it first and foremost - that goes for any console - then let whatever features it does be a bonus.

-If you simply have no single game of choice ...... then I would go with the ps4 at $300. It is a very powerful system with great games and even better ones coming out down the road. The xb1 and wiiu are fine if you have games in mind you want to play. But the wii u - simply does not hold up to pure value because the game selection is minimal, likely will not be supported after NX, and few games for it coming any time soon. I love my xbox one and have put way too many hours on Halo MCC but when it comes down to it... the ps4 is a better value... for now.

Well here's my take on it:

First, don't listen to the fanboys blindly hating when they don't even own one.

Second, I've had my Xbox for nearly a year and its been great. The new UI fixed almost all the problems with the old dashboard. The exclusive games have been excellent as well. XBL and GWG seem to have improved and giving more bang for your buck. And MS is more committed than ever it seems.Things like BC and a kickass lineup of games next year.

I'd definitely say jump to this gen if you haven't. Especially because Fallout 4.

backward compatibility, but not every game and not just put the disc in, u have to download LOL doesnt sound like backward compatible to me.

this gen has been disgusting, so greedy, DLC microtransactions, updates and patches LOL and it doesnt appear to be stopping anytime soon :/

Save your money and stick with your 360 or PS3, take advantage of the great deals and sales, and wait it out until "Next" next gen, which can probably be here sooner than you know it.

Current gen flopped going into three years into this cycle. On One "Back Compatibility" is the best thing going ( that don't say much for the current games, if people want to play the old ones), and now PS4 is looking to upgrade the PS2 games.

Older games rule, and until current gen puts out the same quality games as last and even prior gen, don't waste your money.

Dying Light, MGS 5, Fallout, Life is Strange, Bloodborne, Dark souls 2 SOTFS, Rise of the tomb raider, The witcher 3, Arkham Knight, Black ops 3 (how's that backwards version doing for you?), Mortal Kombat, Until Dawn, Mario Maker, Rocket League, Xenoblade chronicles x, Undertale, Assassins creed syndicate.

And that is just the games off the top of my head, in 2015. So, try again.

@jagdedge124: I almost got a 360 instead of on Xbone this season. But I'm looking to keep the system for at least five years (my Wii is still going strong and sees regular use. Some day I _will_ finish Okami!). But the 360 is being end-of-lifed next year by MS, which I believe means no more AAA titles. And the graphics on the new systems are much better than on the 360, so to take best advantage of my big HDTV I want the latest gen console.

There are many great older gen games. And with BC, you can both play some of them, and enjoy the higher power of the current gen. Your "older games ruled" argument could go all the way back to the N64 or earlier. It's just nostalgia for a simpler time. Many of those games would be considered small downloadable indie games by today's standards. And there are many great small indie games available today if you want to forgo the bloated AAA titles (see Fallout 4).

360 will be around for a long long while (it could be another decade). So that's not going anywhere.

Game Producers themselves (apart from Microsoft) may be doing that, but their games aren't very good anyway out on Current Gen (they're all bombing out), and to spend 400 dollars on "somewhat" better graphics (and even the same graphics if you look at Battlefront and others) at 720p, alot of money for little in turn.

There's just not many games, and in the ones they have, not necessarily "COD 2, Madden 10, Red Dead or Skyrim" we're talking about here as far as blockbusters as they were at that time.

Not to mention, those games are very playable today, as compared to "nostalgia" in your point.

There's just no comparing the two, Last Gen is better, and i think what the Microsoft Exec DID mention, is that "current gen" will never last as long as last gen, and he's certainly right about that if they continue this stagnation.

Unless they release a large Hardware upgraded Xbox 1 console with a Kinect update that Works and a second firmware update, Microsoft will continue to fall behind. They are trying hard to sell the console, but the problem isn't the price, its the hardware and Faulty programming.

Ps4 still Beats Xbox 1. Why doesn't anyone mention that the Xbox One controller LB and RB feel cheap and that the stick locations don't fit in your hands correctly? Xbox console can't even Run Fallout 4 Properly! Whats with the slow frames?????

The ONLY real reason Xbox One will see a sale hike is the Backwards compatibility of Last Gen console. Sony Messed up with that Paid Rent 2 Stream Service.

And why can't u customize the layout on Xbox? Resizing windows on the homepage makes for better access. This "big improvement" feels like just the opposite. Now I have to pass up the crap I don't care for to access my games and apps. B4 I could just pin em to homepage. Now U need 2 scroll down to Find Your Stuff. Any1 else wanna add to my Complaints? Feel free to do so!!! SMH

@Ps_Element: It's literally only shown in this one game lol and no I've watched a few Gta 5 comparisons and PS4 always looks faded whereas Xbox one have more vivid colors the guy actually says in the video that the brightness is on the same settings for each console.

@Ps_Element: My fallout 4 runs just fine my controllers LB RB don't feel "cheap" either lol and my home page is also mapped out just fine I mean what do you want to make bigger or smaller a home page is a home page just like PS4.Again pass up crap you don't care for just to access your game you press a couple of buttons down under my stuff are you that lazy? Under the big screen which is what you're currently doing there will be four recent apps (as in apps you just closed) and beneath that My stuff (games, setting, other apps). Everyone is entitled to there own opinion and I'm not saying it's wrong but if you can't press down on a couple of buttons then that's kinda lazy.

The Xbox buttons LB and RB are loose make an unnecessary Clicking Noise. there's no resistance to pressure there making them feel Cheap like they're not made to last.

As for the "Lazy" comment, Try comparing a Mac to a PC, or Sony's PS4 System to an Xbox One. It's not laziness, its just INCREDIBLY Obvious things could be WAAAY better.

Before the update, You were able to Pin what you want to the starting page. Now you have 3 windows that provide some form of advertisement (Currently Black Friday Deals, an ad sponsored by Amazon and a window that says GOLD with a picture of Steve Austin). I thought a Homepage was supposed to be for you. These useless windows cannot be removed or REPLACED either. Instead You have to look at ads and a HUGE window Showing what you accessed Last as a Homepage. We should be able to log in without having to put up with Ads or have to Scroll Down to get to our Own stuff in Our Homepage. How can any1 be happy with that?

@Ps_Element: Just because it showed the fps drop in that clip doesn't mean it's like that for everyone and in my case Diamonds city fps doesn't drop I just asked my friend and his doesn't drop either so idk. Also a lot of people like the Xbox one controller you'd actually be the first I heard complain about it.I have two adds one isn't even really an add the first is Black Friday sale (Which informs people what's for sale and how long, then I have watch ex machina on Amazon and below that I have gold deals) None of this is that confusing to me or bothersome. And all of your important pinned apps are in that box with my stuff so it didn't go away you just have to press a couple more buttons down for it and you don't even have to do that just press Right trigger to instantly take you there and left trigger to instantly take you to what you're doing now.To me in my opinion this is all baseless complaining no offense but it's not that you're complaining it's that you're trying to make your opinion and personal experience seem like a fact.

@gamermistress4: So Im guessing this Report is also an Opinion? I'm Dogging the controllers two Cheap buttons, and I stated that the analog sticks could have better placement in terms of Comfort. This IS an opinion, but if you want to call it fact, be my guest. I'm Not the only one who thinks the Xbox One Controller is Inferior to Sony's Ps4 Controller, or even its Own Pre-predecessor (which it has also been compared to ...NO, I'm not gonna look for that Link). Before the release, a Huge fuss had been made all over the net comparing the designs and investments made on the Xbox One controller vs the PS4 controller.

Have U played FORZA 6? The frame rate dies down on the intro EVERY TiME. And unless You're using a wheel, the delicate movements with the analog stick needed to maneuver around the courses prove more difficult with an Xbox than a Gran Truismo game on a PS3.

Have you looked at the Tutorial for the Kinect or the Controller navigation shortcuts? It's ridiculous. The navigation designs feel UnNatural. They don't flow as the should. That's something Microsoft SHOULD have nailed because it was a major selling point for them. But they didn't. And Sony takes the Gold with Voice commands too.

That first Link I added gives you a reason to believe that Xbox One Graphics are Inferior to PS4. It states Facts. Xbox One Sales are Waaaaay Below Ps4's and therefore way below it's Predecessor, the 360. If you're in the dark about how the market is going, Type in "Xbox One Sales" on Forbes. And don't Get me started comparing the Party Chat on Xbox VS PS4. Did you notice that the Xbox One did NOT try to appeal to the Gaming headset market because they wanted people to feel like they had to buy Their brand Headsets? It didn't work and they first released an adapter before making changes to the hardware n software support.

The Fact that the Xbox One has been proven to be an inferior console doesn't mean I hate the Xbox.. I didn't just buy it for Sunset OD, I had a feeling that somewhere down the line, there would be enough changes for me to really begin to enjoy using the console. But til then I have a right to complain, so I do. And please Reiterate in Detail what you mean when You say Xbox One has the best online Service. Ps4 has great sales EVERY WEEK, and their store is much easier to navigate than the current Xbox Store. What do you mean when you say online service? ..Do you Have both consoles too??

@Ps_Element: Ummm no reread through your post you do seem as if you're trying to state it as a fact, also I had a good laugh PS4 controller being better than the Xbox one that was a good one quick question though if the PS4 controller is so superior how come PC gamers are usually using Xbox controllers? Is it because it'll only support Xbox one controllers and then again if that was the case don't you think that they would try making it support the more superior controller, so why is it always Xbox? Also I've seen graphics comparisons already on Gta 5 and fallout4, PS4 had more foliage whereas Xbox one had far better color this was for GTA5 now on Fallout 4 they both looked exactly they same let's not get into graphics because with most game PS4 can only handle 30fps so just stop. The only thing that states facts is the sells and no I'm not in the dark I just don't care about sells.Also I never said anything about online services and Xbox one also has sells every week so what point are you trying to prove here? @gamermistress4: PS4 Controllers are NOT compatible with a PC Directly. The 360 and Xbox One have a Driver download directly from the Microsoft web Site so Microsoft made it easy for Plug n Play. Why would Microsoft want to support the use of a controller from a competitor? They'd be LOSING money if they did that. You're saying PS4 Can Only handle 30fps, but The Xbox One is the console who's hardware struggles to Run the Same 30fps. Did you Not check my gamespot Link? Xbox One has to lower its graphic detail to run the same games. And No, Xbox one does NOT provide you with a different sale every week. PS4 updates store sales every Tuesday. Plus they have pop up Flash sales, holiday sales and money back for helping them reach a Quota. Navigation is a big Deal. Once you've moved deep enough into the Xbox Store, getting back to a page isn't as Simple as running a search. I'm Obviously Not gonna change your mind, and You can't change what I see. Sales are what prove what console is Superior. And If You Prefer playing Indie games, you should've Purchased a PS4 instead of an Xbox One.

Xboxs official page also the main reason people got put off by the Xbox one is because of the reasons I stated above most certainly wasn't graphics lol, also my English is just fine but if graphics is what wins a war then everyone would have a pc.No you won't change my views not even with your links.Now as I said before I don't really have problems with fps drop on my Xbox one don't know why maybe it's a mystery to you it obviously is but when it happens I'm still not going to think that the PS4 is better fps drop happens whether it's 0fps or 28fps :). No I'm not really an Indies fan I never even played those $1 Indies on Xbox 360 I meant I want a section for games like Knight squad Mine craft and Happy wars which are all on the Xbox one so don't misinterpreted. I also believe that the Xbox one has holiday sales too I mean honestly why wouldn't they? They had a huge one for Black Friday and albeit they'll have one for Christmas too so don't speak of what you obviously don't know.

You have not stopped missing the point because you can't argue on what you know is right. The contrast on a Video game does not have to do with the power of the Console in the first place. It's in the coding on the game which makes your argument irrelevant. Low or high contrast levels would be persistent on EVERY video game because of the video card being used on each console.
The majority of hardcore gamers ARE on PC because graphics and FPS make a Huge Difference. PC Does Win.

To me in my opinion graphics doesn't mean everything the same gamer that thinks graphics are the most important thing ever are probably the same people that could get distracted over shiny things, The best an most nostalgic games ever aren't games with life like graphics but are instead Donkey Kong Pac-Man Mario basically the reason Nintendo is still even relevant. Now go ahead and get distracted by your shiny and or cosmetic things my experience with my Xbox one and Xbox 360 has been great PS3 not so much. Plus in my opinion I get better deals now with my Xbox one free backwards compatibility and 4 free games each month I wouldn't say Ps4 is better just because it has more fucking grass that's all you've been saying "Better graphic better graphics look at this link proving it has better graphics" that wouldn't make me switch any quicker than it would make a person on Wii U switch. "The contrast on a Video game does not have to do with the power of the Console in the first place." No it just shows it has better color lol. Graphics makes a huge difference, they do? I guess when you compare PC and consoles you can see the difference but when you compare PS4 and Xbox one not really.

Xbox experience.. crap... exclusives... halo (not worth buying the system).. tomb raider (definitely not worth buying the system) it's a timed xclusive and runs at 30fps.. wait for the pc version... controller <--- wat kind of reason is that next... backwards compatiability.. don't get to hyped for this on.. I was excited to play gears 3 on xb1 and was greatly disappointed cause it runs like crap. Lol botched emulator (I hope there's a fix).. I keep saying consoles need to make 60fps a standard. Fine the games look great but wen u play the same game with better fps it's a big difference (this is probably y so many games r getting remastered).. consoles will not beat pc so they need to stop trying.. stop pushing for graphics. Either way... Xb1 not worth the full price. Lol do wat I did.. find someone who doesn't want the system and is selling it for half price or less :)

@halflight87: Well consoles are already adding mods that's just one step closer :3 they'll get 60fps soon and before anyone says PS4 is already there most of the games for it are 30fps.

@gamermistress4: I don't c xb1 doing 1080p 60fps as standard or ps4... not with the old gpu+cpu they have. Unless they sacrifice graphix. Pc games are now doin 4k at fps better than 30. I have all 3, so if they're going to make an exclusive make it 60fps.

@gamermistress4: hopefully they do their homework and choose a more current cpu+gpu when next gen comes (years from now) cause by then the standard will be 2k if not 4k @60fps.

I see absolutely no reason to invest money in a machine from a company that actively tried to **** people over until people specifically SHOUTED at them for 2 years that they would not be fucked over. A company that needs that type of motivation to not be complete shitheads (still shitheads) will never be the recipient of my hard-earned cash.

@Inlex: angry much? I never felt fucked over. It's called being a smart consumer know what you like and what works for you. This gen was the first time I waited to buy a new console because I didn't lIke what I was seeing from either side. Picked up an x1 as soon as they dropped kinect and the price and never felt slighted. Still haven't been ready to take the PS4 plunge yet. Maybe sometime before this gen is over.

@50cratez: Agreed. If I had a 360 and a stable of games I don't think I'd be compelled to upgrade. Skip this gen and wait until the next gen with 4k, Dolby Atmos, and whatever other fancy things are out by then (HDR?). New games will start drying up next year, but there are plenty of great games out there.

There are many reasons to buy a One just like there are many reasons to get the PS4. They're pretty closely matched. I mean, we could argue all day long (as an awful lot of people seem happy to do!) about the minor details, but what's the point? Buy one and enjoy it. I got the One because I always the Forza games and was impressed with xbox LIVE! but was very close to getting a PS4. I love the One but I'm sure I'd have been equally happy had I bought the PS.

Also, I don't see the point of someone, like this girl, saying "here's 4 reasons why you should definitely add a One to your Christmas list this year!" and then another vid where exactly the same girl says "these are the 4 reasons why you really need to get yourself a PS4 this Christmas!" I mean, her message loses all integrity. At least have someone different do the PS4 vid or the Wiu vid.

I like my X1 but I gotta say its a big console . I wished I waited to buy a slim version . But anyways , with all the new updates I have to say UI is amazing , Exclusives are great , online service is great and Soon I can play my Xbox 360 games on it .

As soon as I saw the title of this article, I knew that fanboy arguments would be flying like shit in a monkey house.

I've been using the Xbox One for over a year and it's been a great experience overall. I like the exclusives, the multiplatform games are solid and the console runs well for the purposes that I need. The opinion of some retarded fanboy in the comments section has absolutely no baring on my enjoyment of the console, and it shouldn't even cross your radar either.
