Will Battlefield Hardline be worth $60? - The Lobby

Everyone wondering about the game being 60$ and if it is worth it go to G2a where it is about 35$ if you are a picky buyer and want the cheapest dont buy the games from origin themself where it is very overpriced (unless you wish to support them).

My first impression of the Beta: NO TANKS!???? Just armored vehicles with no stopping power whatsoever... jesus christ what a mess EA have scrapped together.. BFBC2 still the best game.

i thought the beta was fun, but i think blood money and heist will get old fast. so if they are questioning making conquest, not sure how long the other modes will last. so based off that and what i played, no i dont think its worth $60.

it's a great game, doesn't look as good as BF4, it's definitely fun but it won't be worth $60. $70 for deluxe... i think it's worth about $35 though.

Why is this question never asked about other games? There are so many games we could question the value of besides the obvious such as every game that has annual releases. For example is a game took one year to develop of lesser value than one that took three? How about a game that cost one million to make versus fifty million. I remember when this came up for left for dead 2 and that proved more than an expansion. Worse is making this salacious headline based off the beta. I am not a fan of EA myself but this seems like fox news style of opinion reporting.

Why are people treating this like it's the full blown retail release? Why is it so hard for people to wrap their heads around the idea of a beta? It's a programming snippet used to gauge netcode, server and coding issues which they will then use to improve the final product. Naturally it feels akin to BF4 because it's using the same engine, but the gameplay differs substantially so far and will probably be even more evident upon release.

I'll wonder if they will offer Premium for Hardline also. $60 for a game that many don't feel it's worth plus $50 for more DLC.

BF Hardline is really fun but it will only be worth $60 to me if it has an excellent campaign and 50% more multiplayer content than BF4 from the get go. Otherwise, it really is just a mod and worth $30. $40 tops.

So CoD does this every year and no one bats an eyelash... Battlefield gets in on annual release and suddenly it's being called an expansion pack... hypocrisy people.

I played the beta from day 1 when it was announced at E3 and while it is fun it has lots of problems, matches don't last long enough, maps are too small for so many players, at least the one map we got to see, you can do anything without it turning into a pile of dead bodies as massive amounts of players go to the same spots every round, the helicopter is almost useless as it either gets shot down right away or crashes into nearby buildings, I won't be buying Hardline, I have high hopes for R6 Siege though.

I am confused, where are the tanks, where are the jets .. how can you have a battlefield without such basic things .....this is just CoD with police cars, pointless.

I love Battlefield, played every game in the series apart from Bad Company 1. I will not be buying Battlfield Hardline at launch though

They shoudnt of released a beta because it made people see what the game was. Its BF4 with a new skin and medals. It could and should of been DLC as its no change apart from the skins looking different. Plus its just a milking test game for BF5.

Thought I would clear things up from what they were debating.

This is another game that does not force people to work together. The only time you will probably actually work together is when people you know in your squad like friends or some gaming group you are part of. The game is really stupid when it does not give you freedom to move around the whole map and then kills you for thinking you are leaving the battlefield. I might actually be interested in buying the game as long as you can actually rob banks inside buildings. I would hope they would add that when the game is finished. I am happy though that you can shoot windows.

Ok...honestly...now we are asking this question? About a billion CODs later ...God knows those games don't change at all...but now we want something drastically different.....

Millions of people will buy this, so will I.

visceral are the people who made end game? That was actually my favorite dlc of all the bf3 dlc's

no its probably not ! Hell I even regret cashing out 50 Euro for Titanfall and Battlefield 4 on the PC. Seriously BF4 alone put me off from pre-ordering anything.

Pretty good commentary. It is clear they all thought this was an overpriced mod. But they seemed afraid to admit it.

Still was worth watching.

BF franchise is know to go half off on black Friday. BF3 did it and BF4. So just wait 1 month and you can get it at half price if you want too.

I'm still waiting for Battlefield 4 to be worth $60...let alone the $110 I paid for it. Oh well, at least I have a couple more uninspired DLC cobbled together from the bits and scraps leftover that didn't make the original release to look forward to.

Definitely....not buying it for X360. It seems like anything coming from top studios since the "next-gen consoles" were released seem to be sub-par and are going backwards in terms of visual fidelity and quality. I have been thinking of getting a PS4 but we'll see.

Maybe. I sure wouldn't buy it at release for a few weeks though. I certainly wouldn't preorder it.
