Witness Double Elephant Destruction In This New Far Cry 4 Footage

why is it that every time i watch a game journalist gameplay video, they are always frustratingly terrible? You'd think, since they devoted their lives and careers to this field, theyd atleast be pretty good, borderline excellent. How can you love video games so much as to devote your career to it, and look like you've never actually finished a game before?

Like these videos arent just bad, as i said earlier, its FRUSTRATINGLY bad, jesus christ just standing on one roof in the same spot using a grenade launcher the whole time saying "this is extremely hard, as you can see"...try, i dunno, using some stealth and actually moving around the map taking out the NPCs one by one with an actual gun? I seriously wanted to punch my monitor until the screen cracked, this was so bad.

i dunno if its just the quality of the video giving it that cartoonish look, but this reminds me of the Opening missions in Borderlands 2 so bad...

This looks like a good stand-alone expansion for the Farcry Series. Oh, its "4"? They thought "Hey. SRIV did it, we should too!" This shit is retarded, animations are exactly the same, they probably drew textures and slapped the 4 logo.

Jeez, am I the only one stoked for this game? Sure the mechanics look very similar to FC3 but that doesn't seem like a bad thing to me. It's a great foundation to build on, IMO. New locale, new animals, new story, a few new mechanics here and there (co-op free roam!)--that's all I need to be sold on it.

Is it so darn difficult to make an improvement for AI? This game feels like Far Cry 3.1

One real gripe I have with so many games in recent times are the illogical "tracking" systems that essentially take away gamer creativity, ingenuity and quick-thinking required to play various styles. I know in the 3rd Far Cry you can turn it off for weapons but even just to scope out a base you had these ridiculous highlights over AI characters so you can track them. What, in the world the game is set in, enables your character the uncanny ability to view people through walls? I hope in FC4 you can turn off the feature so that the challenge to capture a base is ramped up from FC3 and you actually have to anticipate where guys are or find a really good vantage point to decide your course of action.

Ubisoft has game development down to a science. Unfortunately, a good game requires a soul, and that got lost along the way.

Did the player sucked so bad or was it intentional? And I hope they correct the "immortality"

mmm nice AI. I like the guy who wasn't alerted to an elephant crashing through the front gates, then when he saw it, immediately threw himself in front of it. It's what you get for hiring deaf guards with depression problems.
