@jtrousd: I said if I'm nitpicking, I could see aliasing. I'd rather convey that info to you and let you decide if that's bothersome to you rather than to omit that detail. Overall, the game looked great, which is something I also conveyed.

$500.00 is reasonable for the Xbox One X. I just wish Microsoft had kept the Scorpio name. Way back in the dark ages in November 17th 2006 $500.00 only bought you. A PlayStation 3 with a 20GB HDD and non Dual shock controller. The Xbox One X is trying to hold on to the Xbox one branding. While the console is "the most powerful" ever released. $500.00 gets you more in 2017 then it did in 2006. So if you are really into Xbox. Then the Scorpio now Xbox One X. Is worth the $500.00. Even with no "pack in game"

Its not 2008 anymore and there is no recession. People pay $700-900 dollars every 2 years just to have a phone 10% faster. One x falls right in line with expectations when it comes to fanboys/girls and disposable income.

GameSpot couldn't make their disdain for Xbox any more evident, but I can relate with their intent and overall feelings about Microsoft, but in a different way. Firstly, I think it's a mistake to tout a system as the "world's most powerful console" because people like the narrator on this video will do anything they can to challenge that. The "ehhhh...if I'm nitpicking, I did see some jagged edges in the distance..." comment is ridiculous and unnecessary. For one, Digital Foundry are tech experts that carry a lot more credibility than GameSpot; and, if anyone is nitpicking, they are and they focused MORE on what the customized chip-set can do instead of putting "jagged edges" into the spotlight to summarize the console's overall potential. Where's the nitpicking for 99.9% of PS4 games on PS4 Pro?

To my earlier point, if Microsoft is going to scream, "world's most powerful console", they better be ready for excessive scrutiny ESPECIALLY from sites that favor Sony. The fair thing to do is, rather than bullying a console based on one game, they should instead focus on the more significant facts: the lack of games.

Does anyone remember The Amiga CD32 or Neo Geo? The Neo Geo is probably a better example because it was the first console to bring the arcade experience home. Problem however was it was so overpriced, that the general gaming consumer kept it on their Christmas wish list but eventually settled with Street Fighter on the Super Nintendo. One X is the Neo Geo all over again and it has less to do with the jagged edges in the distance and more to do with the horrible E3 introduction showing Forza 7 instead of a game like Crackdown 3 or State of Decay 2. Sure, there are many die-hard Forza fans but that's hardly the trump card anymore...if it ever was. By "trump card" I mean a reason for someone to dish out $500 for a new console instead of sticking with what they have or jumping over to Sony to play games that might not look PERFECT all the time, but damn, they offer a great experience.

Sony is outselling Xbox 2:1 in America and I pretty sure it's 3:1 in Europe. My opinion, but I don't believe Microsoft did anything on Sunday to change that. Dropping the Xbox S to 249 will increase sales but they will continue to play catch up.

I watched Sony's presentation last night. I wasn't blown away but I was fulfilled because what they teased us with in 2016, they continued to preview what was so exciting from 2016 and that fulfillment was achieved by 4 games in an hour. They didn't need to show me 55 exclusive titles because I am already confident in the strength of Sony's gaming lineup. It's sales 101. I don't want the million little things; I want the few BIG things and I want them soon.

Microsoft did the opposite. E3 2016, they teased us with their hardware lineup and continued to crack open the curtain in the months to follow, teased us a little more until they finally allowed exclusive analysis from Digital Foundry. DF provided a very thorough and comprehensive review of Scorpio. So, naturally, we were fulfilled with the capabilities of the console which left two remaining areas in question. PRICE and GAMES.

Then comes E3 2017. Edge of my seat. And.....Forza 7. What the F$%&. Forza 7 in the desert, with some awesome weather effects....so this is what I get after a year of articles, Spencer tweets, previews, and more mystery that would have the great Sherlock pulling at his python? Forza 7....and...and....and...not much else that shows any real reason to dish out $500.

From that point on, it was quantity of quality. Microsoft is always overcompensating on their counter-punch and can't seem to understand what their gaming consumers want. They sit back in a room and say, "oh yeah, you want to say we can't match the resolution of PS4 games....then take this..." wham, bam, thank you mam....One X!.... or "oh yeah, you think that after we cancel games like Scalebound and Fable and delay Crackdown 3....we no longer have exclusives...then take this..." wham, bam...an endless teaser chain of exclusive titles with less emphasis on titles that we actually care about (Crackdown and State of Decay) and more emphasis on a barrage of games like life is strange and ori 2....don't get me wrong, these are fun games but what about One X? What about how these games compare to Day's Gone and God of War on PS4?

THEY. CAN'T. GET. IT. RIGHT.

GAMES. Is that too much to ask for?

@jimmythang: "Physical power button on the front". I see three buttons. "Not even Sony's PS4 Pro has a Blu Ray drive". Of course it has Blu Ray. Just not 4k (though Xbox One S also has 4k). "Vapor chamber cooler" would be nice if they actually showed the heatsink at this part of the video. And, just in general, nothing new here we haven't seen before.
