Your Favorite Game Sucks! - The Dumbest Panel @ PAX 2015

Worst Panel Ever (Comic book guy voice).. haha not really but it was a lil F-ed up. Definitely need to rethink how the talks should go/debate the game. Really I just think no one really wanted to be the "bad guy" and go hard into why "your favorite game sucks". More like a "I don't think that game you like is really that good" panel. I think Brian did the best job conveying why he thought Arkham Knight sucked cause he said both why he didn't like it and why it doesn't work as a game. I'd still like to see round 2 of this debate but with a lil more sting in the arguments. Get Mad, Get Angry, Piss some people off.

Pax coverage hasn't really been great on any gaming website I don't know why I waste my time with game centred web sites seems like the same click.

C Moriarty already did that with 'serious reviews' to Metro games and Wolfenstein New Order. Seriously, that guy thinks CoD gameplay aspects are a standard for new FPS games. They're not. But I like his Tales of reviews :P

This was really awesome! It was fun to see these video game reviewers throw objectivity and professionalism to the wind and just talk about what they didn't like about these classics.

OMG GS Please do this at every E3, GDC, PAX, and etc. People ripping up games like this in a good way is really entertaining and informative.

GS give us more of this type of honest, off the cuff, appraisal of games for better or worse... just diversify the panel, opinion wise i mean

I would have torn Uncharted 3 to shreds. And yes, this show definitely needs to be a semi-regular feature, maybe 3-4 times a year so they don't get gratuitous.

Everyone take note... the asshole did not play the previous MGS games, and then was completely lost in the story in MGS4 and it did not make sense for him. The main gripe being that he did not get the story, or understand the characters, or pick up on the references. So many people just like this! Play the fucking games, you idiots!

Now excuse me. I'm going to go watch Serenity and tell you how it doesn't make any sense by itself.

Very fun video :D, i just want to say that criticizing MGS4 for not empathizing with the characters or for not understanding the story while not playing the rest of the series its just like saying that Breaking Bad ending sucked because you just watched the last episode and didn't connect with Walter White or that the last Game of Thrones book sucked because that was your first one and didn't knew the characters...

Edit: Oh, and the "you don't have to do complicated stuff do beat the game" its true, you don't have to... but you do it because its fun, in the same way you can just drive to the story mission in GTA, use a hand gun and beat the game but you don't... because its fun to mess around.

Very funny show with a lot of good arguments, they should do this every month as a regular show, very good!
More organization might be good as the only bad thing was that the people who were defending had really really bad points or arguments to defend their games, like they didn't knew how to point out the flaws in the other argument.

Besides that, please, do it as a regular show!

Awesome video! Interesting points brought up, I personally loved B:AK and have deep respect for FF VII and MGS, but it's nice to see more logical arguments on both ends to see why people genuinely don't resonate with a game like others. AC 2 (along with the whole franchise) is absolute garbage though, so I was laughing the whole time!

Funny video. Spot on about Assassins Creed worst gameplay ever. To bad too because the world and story are awesome, just unplayable to me. I love Metal Gear but they're right about the story being to convoluted.

Metal Gear Solid is absolutely awful. Its a mirage many get suckered into claiming they love. The story is so repulsive and flat out dumb. The gameplay never fascinated me either. Chris said exactly right - you have to create your own elaborate schemes in a level in order to have fun.

It was chaotic. Arguments and counter-arguments sucked.

I'd prefer a better organized debate featuring guests willing to put more effort debating.

It's a nice subject however. I'd like to see critics arguing against games they hated (and arguing agains each other) more often.

There's a fuckton of popular 9.5 shitty games.

That was weird. I'm pretty much in agreement on the combat in assasins creed being boring, slow, a bit too easy and not very interesting. I would not use any of those words about the combat in the batman games though. If the argument is that its bad because you wait for enemies to do stuff then counter it you could say the same about dark souls as well and he seemed to like that one

I still love MGS even for its convoluted plot and goofy writing. They're dead on about Assgreed, though.

Oh, and the joke panel has too many manicured, pampered pajama boys on it. Could you find at least one guy with physical signs of having a job? At least one wrinkle? Thanks.

What Chris said is basically my exact reason for not liking Metal Gear Solid. I lost it totally after Sons of Liberty.

I replayed them this year on PS3 and it made me question why I ever thought the series was good. I guess I just didn't take in the dumb story when I was younger.

The other people can't call bs and call that out for what it is, appeal to authority and argumentum ad populum because they will make the reviews less worthwhile and they are in that industry but that's what those are.

Final Fantasy 7 may not be the best but it definitely is in top 5 best FF games. He should of picked 10,8 or 13. Now those games are bad.
