Don't let the hellish TV show fool you. Viewtiful Joe is really not that bad.

What I love about Joe is that he isn't that hero who says "In the name of justice, blah blah blah". I mean, the activation of his powers is needed by saying "Kenshin" and he changes it to what he thinks fit "Kenshin a go go, baby!" The game was cut down in the cartoon by 4 Kids TV. The game is really fun, but it will get a little boring after a while, but before that happens, it is enjoyable. A lot of the game has a movie-being-filmed feeling to it, like when you hit Pause, someone says "Take five". The game is all cell-shaded and it actually did pretty good. The backgrounds are a little dull and sometimes, the boss fights can get really frustrating. Frustration will be a problem in this game where you'll be gritting your teeth and button-mashing. The gameplay is good and I liked how the music and voice acting really suits the game's quality. The problem is is that when you play as Dante from Devil May Cry, the dialogue is in gibberish and I don't like how Dante's normal clothes has him in a speedo :-P. Yet, the Dante character has a large advantage over his enemies with his guns and sword, which will make the game way too easy.
