A superb sequal
The second one is no exception and if your a fan of the serries and have a PC or Sega Saturn you really owe yourself to pick this one up.
Over and above the first Virtua Figter this game features textured character models that while technically of a better quality than those found in the first game in my opinion lack the funny look that the boxy character in the first game had.Gone also is the funny upbeat music that bleeped and boped around in the first one, replaced by really good sort of snyth-rock music thats good for driving you on in the midst of a fight.Like wise the backgrounds and stages in the game are all more detailed and through a combination of these 3 things the game has a completely differernt more serrious atmosphere than its predecesor.
The game also features some new moves for character in the previous game and modes incuding Team Battle, Expert mode, and most notably on the PC version I am reviewing the possibility for online play( Ive not been able to get it working but every time my freind brags about playing VF5 online on his 360, I just tell him I can play the 10 year old VF2 on PC and its no big deal that the 360 version gets online whilst the PS3 doesnt.)
The biggest addition to VF2 over 1 is the two new characters Shun and Lion both of who are very fun to use and amounst the best characters in the game in my opinion.
Finally the intro clip preformed by Shun Di is hillarious and abosolutely un missable and so if you dont feel compelled to buy this game at least go on to YouTube and watch the into clip.
