VT 2009 is good but too easy
The sound effects are out of time, in doubles you are volleying and the game can't keep up with them and the ball goes off court and you hear 2 or 3 racquet noises even before it hits the floor.
The swing mechanisms are quick to learn, you hold the button and the direction and it hits the ball , unlike Topspin 3 where you press a button to backswing and then the direction and then press then release the button, if 2KSports make another Topspin game I'll go off my head!
In World Tour you start as Amateur 100 and work your way to Amateur 1, but this takes a long time because winning a tournament gives you 3 or 4 ranking points which doesn't really help , by the Tennis Academy feature is good, you can practice skills and unlock playing styles and these are actually transferred to the game.
Only buy VT 2009 if you want an arcade tennis game but a game that is easy enough to pass the time of day without getting annoyed you can't do it and trade it in or leave it to rot in the corner like I did with Topspin 3 until I got £17 for it at GAME!
