You must sit back and wait for anything to happen...
User Rating: 8 | Virtual Villagers: A New Home PC
Virtual Villagers is a game that takes time, and loads of patience. You train little people how to fend for themselves. Teach them to have children and take care of the needs of the village. There are various tasks that are needed to be done to progress the game. Technically, it isn't a game. There is a lot of sitting around that is done because it takes a while to gain the points to do anything. Regardless of what level you set it at, it takes hours to get anything done. A couple nice things about this game is the ability to specialize your people to do certain tasks. Be it gathering food, breeding, or building huts. Another nice thing is that you can turn off your computer, and the game will still "run". It is based off the computer's internal clock, and that cuts down on watching and waiting. Got a task to do? Go ahead and turn off the game, its still running without you being there. It's a nice game with some challenging tasks that take time. Plus there are random events that can either aid or hinder the survival of your little tribe.
The music is nice and almost tropical. The graphics are simple yet work. The controls are practically idiot-proof. I say go ahead and play it. It's a nice game to not pay attention to.
