Who knew being virtual village chief was so hard?
An interesting story puts you in control of a select few villagers' lives. You control them or they can do things on their own. We found it was a fatal mistake to let the villagers idle around dancing. Soon, we found them playing their golden harps. You must always control your villagers to get food, build huts and research technology. After doing a certain task for a while, the villagers will get accustomed to their new jobs. The villagers train to become masters in their fields. The better they are, the better your settlement.
You can research new technology that improves certain aspects of your village. You can increase the reproductivity rate of your villagers, learn new ways to harvest food, and better research speed. These cost many research points.
Villagers can reproduce, making more villagers that grow into hardworking peons for your civilization. Kids are pretty much useless. The only plus I found with them was that they could find mushrooms on the island, increasing the food stockpile. An odd thing with kids is that they inherit the skills of their parents. I knew genes could be passed on but skills?
In the free trial, I could manage to finish this game, getting all milestones and the one being. So it was a great deal for a nice game!
