VW Scirocco is one of the better racing sims I've played on the iPhone of late. The controls are simple; tilt the iPhone left or right at various angles to steer the car and press the brake and accelarator buttons on screen to speed up and slow down. Simple. For those of you who have trouble controlling more than one thumb, you can set the car on auto-accelarate.

The game has amazing graphics for an iPhone game, even capturing the graffiti scribbled on the road on the endless Nürburgring Nordschleife track, which brings me to one of the shortcomings. There is only one track. Even though it is highly detailed and can take over 3 minutes to complete a lap, the game becomes repetitive after 5 laps. There are 3 game types of gameplay: Time trial, where you take to the track solo and get your fastest time; Race mode, where you are given one lap to overtake all the other cars on the circuit; and Multiplayer, which I did not have the chance to try as there were no running servers.

If you can get over the lacking variety of tracks and only one car, this game is worth the free download.
