This game captures the medieval age well, its combat system is good and its a decent product all round.
But...
There is not enough to keep one engaged long enough, it becomes repetitive with the number of maps and environments that it contains, the melee combat soon also meets such a destiny of repetition. There is only so much sword slashing and bow shooting that one can do before they tend to get a little bored.
Graphics wise the game is good, the developers knew how to play ball and capture that 16 hundred century or whatever time the Medieval period was in our history. The environments look beautiful and lush with greenery, and with rivers and streams. The towns look appropriate for the time, consisting of simple brick and wooden structures and foundations.
Combat is decent, you can parry, and slash. It is quite a good setup but soon becomes repetitive, but still enjoyable. I think there needs to be more classes, I cant remember them all but they are: knight, crossbowman, spear/pike and archer and one or two more. They are fairly limited which to me was a downside.
Overall, WOTR is a decent game, theres nothing wrong with it, no bugs and so forth so its worth paying for in the end.
Bottom line:
This game captures the medieval age well, its combat system is good and its a decent product all round.
