A Slow grower, but as fun as the rest of the series.

When this first came out on demo I played one match against an random Eldar player who killed me within 5 minutes due to a gratuitous spam of Eldar hover turrets. I rage quit and said to myself I wouldn't go back to that place of spam.
Then as the January sales came round this year I got the urge to take up arms once more.

So far I can say I'm having fun. I've kept away from the random multiplayer games so far just to get used to the new equipment and tech tree's etc. Ive been playing last stand mainly and have to say its rather alot of fun, this is down to the people I've been playing with and a drunken night at my brothers shouting PIEW PIEW!
The levels on last stand I have to say actually require alot of cunning and abilities. We have found ourselves surrounded on all sides then a few falling rocks and hellfire grenades everything's right as rain.
The 16th level of last stand is you vs copy's of yourselves, which I have to say is the hardest round out of all of them, due to my friend being a level 16 Ork with a uber suppression cannon.

The actual story is rather immersing and I have found myself many a night staying up until the small hours trying to get to the next mission. It gives you a good variety of what each class does, while giving you rather a good story.
I like the fact that the Tyranids have finally been introduced to the DoW series. It was good of THQ to hold them back for this release. I must also say that I'm looking forwards to Chaos Rising coming out, as after playing this I'm hungry for more!
