When i first booted this up i was hit by a million errors relating to the dreaded Games for Windows Live.

After a week of trying to fix it i contacted THQ support who almost immediately blamed MS and the support person i was emailing seemed really annoyed about GFWL making his companies games look buggy and rubbish, but i toiled on and got it fixed eventually.

I played about 3 missions and had to reinstall Windows 7 due to dodgy RAM corrupting Windows files, MS don't want me playing this game by the looks of it. After reinstalling it i did the same 3 missions and enjoying it i got a few nice items which are great to upgrade and make you feel like you really are progressing in strength. On bosses i would have my support ranged units in buildings providing constant fire and relative safety. Brilliant mechanics with lots of options and gameplay choices.

The graphics aren't too pretty but at the same time have a nice style, i did some further missions and noticed i was going places and killing things with almost ease so the difficulty seems just right.

After tweaking my squad a little adding new weapons and putting on skill points i noticed how nice the customization is, always nice to play the game the way you want, i play like MMO by having one tank and a healer(sort of) and the rest just do damage which works well.

I am definitely enojying the game and if you haven't tried it atleast get a demo and try it, the gameplay is brilliant and the story isn't too bad but not great.

5.0 for MS getting involved
9.0 for customization
7.5 for graphics and sound
9.5 for gameplay
9.0 for fun factor(Killing orcs and the cheesy story is funny)

Overall i'd give it 9.0 and say it's definitely a highly polished game with great support, patches have definitely fixed the online component and seems to have great multiplayer.
