This game looked promising, but in the end it's just another WoW clone.
1 - Public quests. These were a great addition, and the most fun I had in this game was doing this with other people. It counts all the things you have done in the battle, and then a dice roll determines if you get any loot. It's a very creative system. Unfortunately, later on in the game there's a lot more, and there's a lot less people doing them. It's impossible to finish the public quests unfortunately if it's only you.
2 - The Cities. The two cities are very massive. They have a ton of things in them, and were really fun to explore every nook and cranny.
3 - The World PvP battles for the keeps and fortresses were really fun too.
Ok, those are the three things I liked, now to my list of things that I believe the game did terribly.
1 - The PvE content. Besides public quests, the PvE in this game is abysmal. It's very very boring, and the story is so uninteresting! It became a running gag with my group of friends, that whenever we were asked to go find some guy, we KNEW the person would be dead, and were right about 99% of the time. I guess the developers knew that their PvE was really bad, because they also made it as easy as possible, with red circles on your map telling you exactly where to go. It's just the storyline in this game is very boring.
2 - Scenarios. I know I said PvP was fun above, but that was world PvP. Scenarios in this game are instanced PvP zones. They are also the best way to level. While they were interesting and fun at first, they quickly grew boring fast. The objective is simple in them all too, but that isn't a bad thing. I just wish that this wasn't the only good way to level.
3 - The economy. It is really bad. This is the developers fault though, because every single piece of gear is for only one class. That means there less options for the buyer to choose from, and inflation will be very high. It was terrible.
4 - How the gear looked. For every ten levels, the gear looks exactly the same. From 1-10, every single piece of gear in that level will look exactly the same. same for 11-20, 21-30, and 31-39. 40 has a unique look, fortunately, but that is not good enough. This was very lazy on the developers side, and it makes everyone look exactly the same.
5 - Lastly, the spells and classes. No class in this game feels very unique. Most classes share some of the spells, but are given different names for the class. There are some class defining abilities, at level 40, but other than that, the casters are all very similar, and the melee classes as well are similar.
This game could have been great, and it certainly had some great brushes of genius with the addition of public quests, and the very large and fun to explore cities. Unfortunately, the game is being held down by very boring PvE content, a terrible economy, and not building upon World PvP, which is by far more fun than the Scenarios they put in.
I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone, but you are still free to try it as you wish.
