WarioWare brings back fond memories of the classic age of videogames. Back in the day, video games didn't typically have 'endings'. Your whole goal was to as many points as possible, just for the sake of getting your initials up on the high score list. However, many of the games of the day also would get terribly repetitive after not too long. Whether it was chomping dots in the same maze in Pac-Man, or shooting the same space rocks in Asteroids...each individual game eventually (usually quickly) got repetitive. In steps WarioWare. The whole point is to score as many points as possible. (Sound familiar?) Points are scored by successfully completing levels. However, each 'level' takes a mere 2-3 seconds to complete, and can range keeping a spotlight on wario for 2 seconds, to catching a drink flying across a bar, to being able to jam a finger in a nostril (no kidding). The game is all about twich-reaction. Each success grants you a point, and the levels get gradually quicker. This might seem very basic by description, but its quite addictive in practice. And since the levels last less than 3 secods each, and there are numerous different tasks to peform, it never really gets boring or repetitive. Eventually the levels get too quick for you, and your game will be over after 4 lives are lost. At a quick glance it looks like there are at least 100 different mini-levels. There's even 4 specialized levels for two players to compete simultaneously. Yes...simultaneously, with each player using a shoulder button. Quite fun. If you are looking for a fun, bizarre, and addictive game that you can play for hours, or even just a few minutes, I highly recommend warioWare for GBA. To respond to a previous review about being able to solve the game in 2 hours. Yes, I'm sure it's possible to play though all the mini-games in quite a short amount of time. But that's not the point. This is a 'high-score' game. My suggestion is to play one set of games until it seems like you could never possibly raise your high score any more, and THEN move on to the next set of games. Playing in this fashion is sure to extend the playabilty beyond mere hours, to many weeks.
