Don't trip over yourself to get this one, but it can still lead to hours of fun

This game is rather frustrating to play. You have a main hero that is supposed to lead your army into combat. However, taking this hero into the thick of a big fight between high level units is like suicide. Once your hero is dead there's no getting him/her back until the round is over. That is my major gripe with this game. You don't feel like you really win if your hero is dead. You also don't feel like you've played the game right if you don't take your hero into combat.

Apart from the hero the game plays like a RTS game. There are a ton of playable races. The music is pretty addicting. You'll find yourself humming some of the tunes after you've played a while.

The graphics took some hits from the main gamespot critics, and I agree that the graphics look pretty dated for a 2004 game.

After playing for a couple of hours I usually find I've had my fill of this game, as there are tons of hard boards, and very little that's normal or easy.
