a melding of 2 rich worlds of fun
graphics : character design is varied and longtime players will argue rehashed but they are nonetheless beautifully crafted and work very well into the detailed scenery, cutscenes, fmv and different settings gleaned from both chinese and japanese pseudo-history. excellent work.
sound : you get the usual deathcries when hacking, slashing, maiming, shooting, slicing, pounding and blowing up grunts and officers and generals... but they suceed in building your emotional investment in this game.
gameplay : this is the ultimate hack n slash timewaster to date. you may not have the obligatory history lesson each culture driven game had on its own, but together this is pure saturday morning fun.
production : you cant even call this a game without thinking about all the moments playing it where you feel like you just watched lord of the rings meets crouching tiger meets samurai seven. it's that good. no...it's better!
i've been playing these games as their respective counterparts and playing the collision between them on my bigscreen pales to be able to squeeze all the fun out of it on the road.
THIS GAME IS SO GOOD I ACTUALLY BROKE MY PSP's NUBBIN!
