Katamari may appeal to those who are ready to try anything, but it doesn't always work that way.

User Rating: 2.5 | Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy PS2
We Love Katamari is a well appreciated sequel to one of the greatest kid-friendly games on the PS2. At least that's what other people say. When I heard about the first Katamari, I had my doubts. I was thinking, "This game looks crappy.", but that's the same thing I said about Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, sure enough, I enjoyed it. So I gave Katamari Damacy a rental. I hated it. But this time, I tried to give this game a second chance by renting its sequel.

Yet I was still immensly bored. The problem with We Love Katamari is that it doesn't offer that much of a different expierience that Katamari Damacy gave us. Katamari Damacy never appealed to me at all when I played it. Because the only thing you could do was roll a bunch of junk up. That gave me some serious boredom. In this game, it's relatively the same, but with CO-OP mode.

But that doesn't mean there aren't any redeeming qualities in this game.
I found the quirky and blocky graphics to actually be good in a game like this since it fits the games theme so well. But what I like most about the game is the amazingly addictive soundtrack. I just can't get it out of my head.
But good graphics and great music won't save this game from being terrible.

All in all, it's a love it or hate it type of game. So be careful when you're thinking about trying this game. Try out other good games you were planning on playing before playing this. Once you get done with those, play this game and you might just enjoy it.

But for me, it's 2.5 terrible.
