A good sequel, but some of the magic is missing from the original.
The graphics are pretty much the same, though there is a bigger variety of objects to role up, and even the old familiar objects look a bit more crisp than before. There's a lot of new expirmental level designs. Some of the new level designs are fantastic though. An underwater level, a candy land level, and night-time camp ground were all very creative. A snowy hill top and and sky level didn't get pulled off nearly as well though.
Probably the most notable difference in the game is the absense of the quirky and charming soundtrack. None of the music is as good as songs in the original. There are a couple new remixes of the Katamari Damacy theme song, but none of them are as good as the ones in the original either. Many of the new tracks are actually quite bad, and even the best ones are really just average.
Fans of the first will enjoy We Love Katamari, but will probably prefer the original. Newcomers to the game however will have a great time with it though. Either way, at it's price of $30 it's still a game that is well worth the money.
