Tomb Raider meets Kill Bill...then falls apart.

I was really excited to play this and it ended up being a massive disappointment. At first, the action is fun and inventive, but the novelty quickly wears off due to repetition. You find yourself killing the same goons over and over again. I also found myself sliding around most of the time on my knees or diving through the air to trigger a slow-mo attack as opposed to really having to think about what is going on.

The very first stage seems decent and the blood and flying limbs are always a treat. Sadly, I found it to be all downhill from there. I personally hate games that force you to do an obstacle course to progress with the story. Of course, the second level is one of these obstacle courses. What`s worse, you have to do these courses again and again as the game progresses.

I also found the `rage mode` levels to be aggravating due to the colouring making some of the jumps harder to see. I respect that it is part of the ambience of a `70s pulp fiction flick, but I found that it came at the price of gameplay.

Perhaps the most controller smashing moment for me was the slide-on-your-knees-and-shoot-the-levers-to-open-the-portcullis part. That example is just one of the mind-numbing challenges that exist in this game. To say that trial and error is the only way to get through this nightmare is an understatement.

I also found this game ridiculously hard as well. Getting mobbed and shot full of holes while I tried to make a multitude of jumps was aggravating.

In total, cool Tarantinoesque style, crappy B Movie exectution.
