Just as it's predecessor, Wii Sports Resort rarely fails to impress.
Learning Curve: 0 to 30 minutes
THE GOOD- most games are great fun, cute graphics, Wii MotionPlus peripheral works great, great design of Wuhu Island, most games have many different modes, great with friends
THE BAD- some games are close, but no cigar, AI can really be frustrating at times, boring when played alone
Overall Review of Wii Sports Resort:
Presentation 8.5/10 :
The presentation of this game is great, just as it's predecessor, Wii Sport's presentation is. For the first time you try each sport, it teaches you exactly what to do. The menus are great and easy to use, and everything in this game runs together smoothly.
Graphics 8.8/10 :
You can use your Mii in this game, and they look great. The whole aspect of Wuhu Island looks great. Graphics are sharp, but not too sharp. Nintendo did great with the backgrounds and the landscape of which you play these sports in.
Sound 8/10 :
The sound in Wii Sports Resort is nothing special, really, but the upbeat music is a nice touch. The sounds are on time with the movements most all of the time. The sound is not noticeably bad.
Gameplay 9.3/10:
The controls are great. They are all motion-based, of course. Wii MotionPlus actually benefits your experience. In the original Wii Sports, if you moved you Wii Remote in a circle, it would not show up onscreen. In Wii Sports Resort, it can and will.
