What makes Wild Arms so disappointing is that it actually seems very promising at first. The intro is very well done, snappy, and seems to have a lot promises for how the rest of the game will be like. Seems like the perfect material to put on a demo disk so that the makers could lure everyone who plays the pretty cool demo to buy this otherwise abysmal game. This 40-50 adventure has got to be one of, if not the, biggest wastes of my time ever. The story is just long and so uninteresting that I still find myself at a loss for how I ever allowed myself to actually beat this game. The graphics are horrible, and the gameplay just becomes too repetitive to be enjoyable by the FIRST TEN HOURS into the game. What's so sad is that the game actually tries to expand on some themes of humanity and all, but the developers failed to realize that the world created in Wild Arms is so unlike the real world we live in today that these themes they are trying to teach us DON'T MATTER AND ARE INAPPLICABLE TO OUR EVERYDAY LIVES. Gamespot was much too generous with a score of 7.5 for this game.
If you're going to give this game a shot regardless, don't say I didn't tell you so.
