While the game seems to closely follow the story line of the original, the innovations it brings to game play do not excuse what was changed. True the skill system adds a new depth and the migrant system is handy for avoiding random battles, but not being able to change a characters equipment and the changes to the force abilities are infuriating to say the least. While the updated graphics are nice, they seem to have made controlling the camera angle exponentially more difficult resulting in unneeded frustration. While game could have probably stood well enough on its own, billing it as a remake of the original makes this game seem to be a heinous crime against the series, seeming as the game its supposedly an improvement on surpasses it in nearly every way.
