This game will always be remembered for its music. I don't know how the developers did it, but if every game contains such great music, the world would have been a much better place.

The music in this game saw a perfect blend of light-hearted, sentimental and ominous tunes, placed perfectly in each dungeons/towns/world map. I think you got the point that the tunes are great, but it's definitely not the only good point.

The good: While this game doesn't offer a wide selection of characters, like what FF VII or Chrono cross did, it offered plenty of character development. Before long, you would find yourself growing affection for them. It's hard not to feel for Rudy, the outcast, Cecilia, the pampered, and Jack, the lonely adventurer. The game has a unique western theme, thus separating itself from the countless RPG clones in the market. Each character also has a set of tools to aid their quest, making each of them irreplacable. The unforgettable story line adds as another plus point. And did I not mention it already, the music!

The bad: Well, the graphics could do with a bit of touch-up. The monsters could be described as okay at best, hideous at worst. Some of the boss fight, albeit challenging to veterans, could be too hard for new-comers to this genre.

This game rates as one of the greatest RPGs I've ever played. For gamers who could ignore the minor graphics flaw, wild arms offer a great experience waiting to be unveiled. Do give the game a try, provided you still have a PS1 of course.
