Fun for a while, but kind of mundane.

Wild Metal isn't you're typical Rockstar Games game. It's pretty plain and simple. You choose one of a variety of tank type vehicles. Then you drive around and pick up different colored capsule type things. I have no idea what they are, because the game I bought didn't have the instruction manual, and nothing is explained in the game.

The game is fun for a while. But it gets kind of repetitive. There's not much in the way of scenery. You mostly drive over sand dunes and other similar environments, and the graphics are pretty simple. The gameplay is decent, although it's a huge pain taking out enemy tanks. And since it's not really required, I just tried to avoid them. The sound is nothing special either.

There's really not much reason to buy this game, since it's free on Rockstar Games web site (the PC version, which is the same). If you really want to play it on your dreamcast, you can probably find it cheap. Not a bad buy if it only costs you a few dollars. It takes a while to get into this game, but once you do, it's good to kill some time. It's nothing spectacular, but it's playable.
