Willow is too often labled a Zelda clone, but there a number of things that set it apart from the Zelda adventures of the time.

In some parts, the game has a more modern feel, like the way you can use the many differernt magic items all with unique effects.
But the majority of the time you will feel like you are playing Zelda with a ton of different twists. I recommend this game highly if you're a big fan of the older Zelda games, and are looking for a new adventure.

The numerous swords, shields, and magic items are very interesting, and you will likely need every bit of help you can get battling the huge variety of enemies you will encounter.

Graphics: Why should I even bother? It's the NES!

Sound: 10, very good for a NES game, WAY above the cut. The sfx are good and the music is immersive.

Gameplay: 8, Willow is easily one of my favorite old-school Zelda-style RPGs. Like I said, if you're an old-school fan, pick it up.
Zelda is great, and Willow once had the same potential, but due to it bombing out of the box office, it had no such luck...But this game still stands as one of my very favorite movie-games.
