Definately a good game if you look past clunky controls but isnt Metal Gear Solid quality.
PS2 I had no idea what Winback was, and am I glad they got it for me.
Winback is definitely a good game but you have to look past a few of its flaws, and is a start but not first to the whole stealth genre. Now it is a tactical stealth shooter like Metal Gear Solid but not as good but does pull its own weight. Now some of the flaws are not entirely bad but does hurt the game like the acting. Now Winback was created by a Japanese team so when it was translated into English the acting sounds dumb and the emotions to go with it are just hilarious. The other flaw that I can remember was the clunky controls, they only got annoying when in boss fights but were never that bad to where you couldn't play it. Overall the story was ok to good but was no Metal Gear Solid caliber. The graphics were standard nothing special since it was am early title on the PS2. Shockingly you wouldn't think a game like this would have multiplayer but did and was really fun. You can play split screen or by yourself with up to eight players and had bots. Only if it kept stats that would've made it better. To end, this game did inspire others to be made like Kill Switch which in turn inspired games like Gears of War.
Summary: Great Story, Excellent multiplayer. Clunky controls and poor voice acting. Great stealth game, if you're a fan of the genre then check this out.
