New Name, Same Game
Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 continues that tradition in the same way. If it aint broke, dont fix it. Thats W11 PES 07 in a nutshell.
Its the same gameplay all W11 fans know and love with some minor and well done improvements.
First thing youll see when you pop in this game on the PS2, is the new menus which look way better than W11 9. The team preperations before you start the game are more in depth and true to the Winning Eleven style. Where you can move any player to any position on the field, you can set your formations youre own custom way, and the better you do this the better your chances are at winning.
Difficulty is just right, and the graphics are amazing even for a PS2 game. The smooth framerate is an improvement from W11 9, especially online, where there is almost no sense of lag at all. Aswell as some new unexpected player animations. Such as when halftime rolls around, the player dosen't leave the ball on the ground, yet they kick it up and catch it, and carry it out just like in a real game of futbol.
Cons are at its minimum, like the menu music as you wait to get online, and the refferee will call the most awful calls. Like a clean slide can sometimes give you a yellow card. ... maybe its just me, but i dunno... i did a lot of sliding in W11 9 and got away with it.
All and all, this is a great game. The changes are minimal but this is quite possibly the best W11.
