Simply instant classic.
Raven software still delivers good impact from creating id software derived games. And Wolfenstein is no exception. Even though the gameplay is nothing really ground breaking..it managed to deliver the old-school shooter experience in a different twist. Alternate universe, sorcery nazis and upgradable weapons are considered new (and interesting) flavors in wolfenstein universe. Great fun and epic battles.
The technology used to power up Wolfenstein is already aging and noticeable. But Raven software had revamped heavily the engine to maximize the engine's potential..which I personally think a lot of efforts have been carried out to make this game as good looking as possible.
Multiplayer might attract few minorities, but probably most people would prefer ET:QW which is more multiplayer focused and simply more fun.
One thing I disagree is, the price tag is way too high and ridiculous for a game powered by aging technology.
