A true insight into the art of war.
The best thing about WIC is that there is no economy! So if you have played Age of Empires or Total War games and loathed growing your economy just to support units then WIC is definitely for you!
All units can be bought using points which are given to you at the beginning of the game. The good news is that if you lose a unit (you certainly will) you will get the points you paid for it back slowly. This means that you can still lose a game quite easily if you do not take care of your men.
However where WIC shines is the support system. In C&C games if you want to call a jet strike you have to scroll away from your troops to the nearest hangar and then ask the jets to attack. This often resulted in heavy losses on the ground and made aircraft a liability. In WIC however you only need to access the support interface to call for support.
Ground units are great fun to play. Although the unit formation and tactical settings aren't as detailed as in Total War games you still have to think about unit facing and consider your unit's weaknesses.
These features combined with the stunning graphics makes WIC a must have for any strategy and war sim fan.
