It's a pity when such a great franchise idea is given to incompetent developers.

I loaded up Pirates hoping to have some fun but all I found was a cludgy graphics engine that must be five years minimum out of date with technology, dull quest system, minimal features, bad latency problems, and rather mundane graphics.

If you want to play a free game, try many of the Asian freebies. Even in their state, they're better than this thing.

Oh, if you want all the great "features", you have to pay $10/month, close to what a real MMORPG charges. This isn't even faking close.

You get attacked out baddies' rear ends even though you can't hardly even be a few degrees off front for you to hit. The "dialog" is poorly written, uninspired, and quite bland.

I mean PotC is a great franchise--the movies were awesome--but this game reminds me of playing a bad game on a PS. Sure, it's free, but even if I were paid to play with thing, I'd seriously consider quitting.
