Blizzard made a game that can be played by anyone of any age at anytime on almost any PC. The problem with that, you get a diverse community consisting of a wide range of different personalities - some that complain until they get what they want, some that whine over any small mistake, some that would call blizzard's tech support and spend hours yelling at how they died in PvP. So like any company they listen - they slowly make their game easier and easier, patch after patch combining stat points, increasing gold and xp, reducing mount costs and level caps for mounts, getting rid of group quests so everyone can solo. But what does this do? It lose's the real players of the game, the ones that actually want to spend that extra month to get that PvP rank or get that item that cost's 5k gold to show off to everyone and say Hey I spent the actual time to get this so I could own you with it. Now almost anything can be obtained in a matter of days.
Blizzard needs to understand they can't keep making their customers happy if they don't listen to the ones that are really playing the game for what it is. Back in level 60, it took months to level there - it took months to achieve items and PvP ranks - it took months to really be able to play your class. Now, everything's done in days soon to become minutes soon to become instant. This game is slowly dieing not by any other game but by a company that just listens to much to an overwhelming and crowded community that doesn't know what they want.
