Highly addictive is the best way to describe the game

I can still remember the first time my friend introduced me to the game back in Classic Wow. It had this amazing affect on me that made me play all night and then the next day, i was immediently hooked. 5 years later i am still an on and off player constantly bombarded with offers from Blizzard to return to my 24/7 'job' of grinding their rehashed old content they have given a new skin to.

Blizzard recorded its first drop in subscribers at Christmas of 5%. No doubt this will recover with the new expansion in the making but it does seem to signify the end in my opinion to this once magical and awe inspiring game. With Warcraft ever implementing new dungeons to 'feed the customers who eat through content too quickly' people are starting to realise that the game is just a big grind mainly at the moment made up of things they have done, repetitively, before in previous formats.

I for one support rivals of the giant but have yet to experience a game that gave me the amazing feeling i got when i first started playing wow. Looking to Guild Wars 2 to inspire me once again.

Self admitted addict, recovering but still tempted.
