Great game, but definitely not the best MMO in the Market as people say.

User Rating: 7.5 | World of Warcraft PC
World of Warcraft, for people, is the base criteria to review an MMO for most people, it is not possible for them to have an idea about an MMO without comparing it to WoW. Why?

-World of Warcraft has the biggest amount of players in MMO market. I guess it is the only MMO minimum 70% of them played in their lives.
-Most of the people think that WoW is the mother game using MMORPG elements such as quest system to kill and loot, fighting system, dungeon-raid system. But they have no opinion that WoW has taken most of its elements from its predecessors, such as Dark Age of Camelot, Everquest, Asheron's Call, Ultima Online.

World of Warcraft is the best MMO in the market for most of the people. Why?

-It is the game people have most fun while playing since it has the highest amount of players all around the world, including your friends, friends of your friends, your family, people having various ages and generations.
-It has a great active renewing system, extra content in most of the patches like its an expansion, great services such as transfering your characters to servers, changing your faction, changing your name, your guild's name, friend recruiting system giving you 3x xp.
-Great customer service that the GMs contact you as quickly as they can and help you even with the stupidest of questions.
-Highly secure accounts that won't be stolen unless you make a mistake, and great skills of the Blizzard team to recover it.

These are all the things that hooks you up in this game. But what are the other things that are not great?

-Aged and cartoonish graphics. In 2004, it was great for its age, but not right now. Cartoonish graphics and enlighted environments even in the darkest of events lose the style and makes you feel like you're playing Legend of Zelda, but defeating Deathwing and Lich King.
-Cartoonish visual and sound effects. You throw sparkling lightning balls if you are an arcane mage, you transform into a beast with poofing effects if you are a druid. All the sounds you hear are like poof, flock, roar, laser sounds, such cartoonish stuff, loses its quality.
-Too few fun quests, other is all same, repeating and boring stuff that forces you to do the same dungeons again over and over.
-Not open to new players, most importantly new PvPers since it always gives unequal advantage to old players with heirloom items that advances every level with best stats. Once people just increasing their item lvls with weekly valor caps, new players cannot even enter raids or good guilds unless they spend hours and lot of money to approach the necessary item levels, and cannot taste new content unless spending more than a month.
-Childish companions such as singing sunflower, mr. penguin, lil ragnaros and stuff. These are cute, but loses the epicness.

Yes, there are amazing stuff, such as its lore, cleverly prepared boss fights, and hugely different combat systems of classes, but it is not the only MMO in market you can find those, not anymore, since there is much more advanced games from its core, such as:

-Rift (mix of the best stuff of MMOs all around)
-Star Wars: The Old Republic (innovative, expectedly leading new generation MMO in the market)
-Guild Wars 2 (highly anticipated and beta impressions)

It is time for new generation games, WoW is not good enough to catch the same quality anymore.

I'm taking back my 3 points I would give it 1,5 years ago when it had no alternatives.
