User Rating: 9 | World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 International (Adidas Premium Package) PS2
Winning Eleven 7 International is one of the best game available in todays game market. The game features over 100 teams, 20 stadiums, newly modeled player models, and a great Master League mode. The competition now takes place within 4 regional leagues. Players select the region in which they wish to participate and work their way up through the divisions in an attempt to compete in the Champions League. Additionally, the Master League introduces the ultimate franchise tool, a player "search engine", allowing managers to search through the entire league for players with the specific skills, position, contract terms and salaries they are looking for. Winning Eleven 7 also include popular cup tournaments, practice mode and friendly matches. GAMEPLAY: The Winning Eleven series is renowned worldwide for its gameplay, and after playing a few games of Winning Eleven 7 International, it’s easy to see why. Unlike FIFA, which would have to be second best in-terms of realism, Winning Eleven does so many improvement right that just makes a football player smile. Such improvements include the on-ball maneuevers, greatly improved passing and crossing, and the most realistic ball physics to date. By using the R2 button and the right analog stick, special functions, such as unique traps and spins. Naturally, they take practice in order to serve a function during a match, but once harnessed, they can be a real threat to an opponent. Another great asset to the Winning Eleven series are the ball physics, which over the years have proved to be much better than any of the competitions and even the shots off of a bouncing ball all resemble real life in WE7. Shooting in this game requires a loads of practice for novices, means this is not as easy as 1.2.3. but still most enjoyable game of soccer. The AI in WE7 is incredible. Some other main features of WE7 is, the game has over 100 teams (league and national sides), over 20 stadiums and a nice create a player mode and The heart of Winning Eleven 7, Master League Mode. BUT there is also some flaws like lack of real team license and sponsors and specially there is no online gameplay like FIFA has one. GRAPHICS: Graphic of the game is also awesome but slightly lower than FIFA. but still its good for a soccer game. Players faces are slightly lack of detail but the animations are top-notch. The newly created animations and motion-capture work are not only beautiful, they're extensive. There are endless blissful animations seen in realtime and in cutscenes. The stadiums look great, and even more stadiums have been added to this year’s game. Overall, there is a plush level of impressive realism that gives this game a superb visual feel on all latitudes. SOUND: The sound of WE7 is little disappointing. This time Konami has done small impressive things to gradually improve the sound quality of the Winning Eleven series. Crowd chants are better. The crowd sounds have increased and intensified. In the early presentations, the crowd is so loud that you can't hear the announcers talking. Music and songs are also better than last versions of Winning Eleven Series but still there is a lot of space for improvement in Sound section of the game. CONCLUSION: Winning Eleven 7 International is certainly worth a purchase, the gameplay alone is magnificent. The visuals have improved greatly, and the sound is on its way to achieving something more than mediocrity. Few disappointment in the game is the lack of online play and licenses, which is available in FIFA. If Konami can get more or all licenses and include online play, Winning Eleven may finally bring down EA’s FIFA franchise, which still remains the best soccer game making franchise market-wise. But for now, Winning Eleven 7 International is the game to play.
